That’s an interesting observation…both I guess? I’ve drank bottled water, but also at meals I drink a few glasses of “ship” water…I wonder even though it’s desalinated, somehow it’s got just enough salt to make my legs swell…

I recommend traveling with compression socks. I use them on flights over 3 hours plus wear them at night when cruising. No more swelling!

Do you drink lots of water on the ship - like regular ice water? I found that when I was drinking lots of "ship water" my ankles would swell considerably. But when I switched to bottled water (thank you drink package) it was much better.

@KarmaCruisersI also swell if I drink the “ship water”. Also, there is a lot of salt in the food served onboard. Ask in the MDR if you can request for no salt to be added. Good luck!

"NEXT CRUISE". Tonight is his last night and didn't pre-order dinner.  I have found that by reducing my salt in meals, that my swelling is a lessor occurrence and not as severe.

Didn't realize that I should sleep with compression sock.  Thanks.  I have recently found compression socks for tennies and ankle size.  Looking forward to trying them out when walking around the ports.

I didn’t realize that his cruise was over already. I always have to order dairy free, but I will probably ask for low sodium also if it’s possible to do both without being too much of a pain.

My new friend came back and found me today; at the same moment I hit a slot jackpot (I was stuck $2000, and I hit $2400 so ran as fast as I could!)

and from that point, she’s been with us.

She told me that she went facedown sleep all day yesterday, and she didn’t “ditch” me. So that made me feel better.

Lucky charm?  She saw your winnings?

One can never have enough friends.  Glad she was the one that reached out to you.  You will be pleasantly surprised at how many passengers I have met on a cruise that have become lifelong friends.  Some I even are willing to travel with again (inside joke).  (forgive awful sentence structure)

Look at all the new friends you picked up on your thread.

Nah, I hit it RIGHT after she came up.

and you’re right..I actually don’t have any friends; other than my co-workers I guess?

Farewell dinner was Watermelon & Feta salad, Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli, and Grilled Kingklip.

We absolutely loved our dining staff in Reserve Collection.

I may be hooked on suites (or at least Reserve Collection Mini Suites) just for the personal service!

We came back to the room really quick, to pack and get our suitcases out before 8pm.

Now we’re hanging out in Crooners listening to Mark Villaral. (Great guitarist and singer)

lol Nic and Jason are very outgoing people; So if Im honest I think my new friend is actually only hanging out with THEM and not really ME. (but I’m used to that, as I’m definitely on the spectrum so I’m usually too much for most people…as y’all can probably see this from this trip report.)

I haven’t drank alcohol today and I am also only drinking bottled water just to see if I can get my legs to not swell tonight.

Sounds like you’re ending your cruise on a wonderful high note…use your winnings for your NEXT cruise! Would just like to say that I’ve enjoyed following your journey and I wish you the best of luck in future endeavors. Hang in there, embrace your “you-ness,” and never let anyone make you feel lesser than. Take care and safe travels.

No; I was stuck $2000; so I’m only leaving ahead $300.

Thanks, it’s a long road ahead..just have to do like Rambo (ala Rambo II ending) and live life day by day.

Glad you made it through your cruise and you didn't give the casino so much that they lured you back with another suite.  Your offer is In line with what I usually earn and I'm content with what they give me, it's easy enough to buy up to a suite.

And it sounds like you're not getting off in Victoria.  Are you still arriving at 9 PM or did you arrive earlier?  I know sometimes they do but if they don't we will probably stay on the ship too in two weeks.

$300 in my book is a winner.  These past 7 days have shown you that you are making some good decisions moving forward (eating healthy, drinking…less, exercising, and developing a positive outlook at what is ahead.

When life gets you down, return to this thread to recall how many friends you made here.  I did not read one bad post.  I have to admit, this has been a most unique “live”.

Malama Pono, take care.  Aloha until we meet again on your next cruise.

You should come over to the carnival board; I write ludicrous trip reports over there haha.

And yeah, thanks for all the support all.
To be honest, I don’t write this for anyone else but me, so when I get in dark places, I read these reports and remember good times.

lol me and Jason came up with a funny slogan this cruise…

we want to put this on a shirt

”What’s in your box1?” (In reference to your 1040).

There was a lady who looked like a SNOB in LEATHER pants, walk up to Crown Grille last night and we were laughing saying “My box1 ain’t big enough for that” hahaha

@KarmaCruisers so have you docked in Victoria? Getting off the ship ? Or you have left Victoria already?

Well at least new friend is enjoying Nic & Jason’s company. Good thing you had a suite to include them or new friend may have never happened?

safe journey back home.

Thanks for sharing your voyage & your cousin & husbands photos.

We tipped Javed a $20 for putting up with us at Crown Grille Bar; then moved over to Vista Lounge as it’s the only bar open…But Nic and my new friend are both maxed out at 15 drinks! I’m the only one with drinks left at 5 left for the day.

I met a new friend from California in the the Night Club (vista lounge) and when my other friend tried to come and “ruin” my “game”; the new friend actually bounced but came BACK after I had a small tiff with my “old” friend…but the new friend came BACK and actually asked my cousin “hey where’s Tim?” So then I went back and spit more game to her..we ended up talking for another hour.
