2BR available for 3 people, but not for 2?

Looking at booking a fall Alaska cruise for my mom and I.  She's been fighting some health issues and needs something to look forward to.  We need to do Haven for her, and a separate bedroom within the suite for me.  So I've been concentrating on 2 BR Haven suites.  

 

On the 9/23-30 Jewel sailing, if I have two people on the reservation, only the 3BR Garden Villa shows.  But if I increase to three people, a 2BR Family Villa with balcony shows.  What's up?  If I were to call in, could I get the 2BR with only 2 of us on the reservation?

Call and find out.  I sailed in a 2BR Haven Suite as a solo.  No problem booking it.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom Haven on the Encore with only 2 people. However originally 3 people were going and we had to remove one person so that might have made a difference.

we've stayed in the 2bedroom suite a couple of times with just my wife and i, no problem, other than it's a little cheaper with a 3rd person
