Question regarding sailing out of the port of Miami

I've sailed on 7 previous cruises, all out of Port Canaveral.  I have an MSC cruise booked for next year which sails out of the port of Miami.  Looking for suggestions on a hotel in the area of the port to spend a night or two...

The port is downtown, so there are a ton of nice hotels.  Personally, I prefer the Intercontinental.  Otherwise, the Hilton Miami Downtown and the Marriott Biscayne Bay are really nice and have great views of the port.

Hello @HateSnow

Thank you for your new thread on the Ask s Cruise Question forum! However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. Your inquiry was off topic there since it concerns a specific North American Homeport. To help you out, your thread has been moved to the Florida Departures forum where it will be on topic. Browse through the thread titles in this forum looking for threads of interest. You may find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you.

I suggest you use the Follow feature on any new threads you start or any other threads or forums where you are interested in the new replies such as this one. That way you will not have to go looking to see if there are new posts because they will come l👀king for you as notifications! IMO you don’t want to stay near the port. Stay in the Brickell area or South Beach unless you are just flying in the evening and getting on the ship the next morning.

Flying into MIA or FLL?  Many choose to fly into FLL to save $$ and stay there before heading to Miami for their cruise.  Travelling with family? Honeymoon or big anniversary? Budget?  Give the board a few more details and then the suggestions will be closer to your target.
