Well on the Grand they are using Crown Grill at lunch as the salty dog Gastropub and where are you going to put things MTG and Tuscan lunch

I was referring to real ships in the fleet that have more than 2 Specialty venues.  Couldn't care less about the rust buckets.

Remember who Jim Fixx was?  A long distance runner in great shape who died of a heart attack at 52.

We're all gonna die and only the man upstairs knows when.  If I happen to go on a cruise with my DW because I'm on drink #10 after enjoying a meal at the Crown Grill, I'll die a happy man.

Good on you. Enjoy life!

A friend died of cancer at 60. Her one wish was that she’d eaten more lemon tarts and not been so hellbent on healthy eating all her life.

Sure moderation in all things but abstinence isn’t great either.

Ha ha! He/she wouldn’t tell you they are running understaffed!

I guess they might say “due to illness some cruises have a few staff unavailable” or some such obsfucation!

I think the inside info from regular experienced cruisers is more reliable. It why these boards are so good and helpful.

I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories, but I have read a lot of false rumors.

No doubt some think that service has declined and no doubt perhaps it has to some extent. Little doubt that in the past, service levels were higher than what was being paid for. No doubt that there are more whiners and complainers today than in years gone by - about everything. It is reasonable to reallocate resources.

I really don't care what the opinions of others are - especially when so much is subjective. I have a brain and form my own opinions. Illnesses on and off cruise ships are real and when my regular waiter disappears for a few days, I'm almost certain they are still on the ship.

If only we could live our lives with the benefit of hindsight.

Yes, I do.  Sadly, he had unfortunate family genetics and a predisposition to heart problems which is why he was interested in running.

I’ll bet the man upstairs appreciates people taking good care of the body they’ve been given. 😉

This is my personal opinion, but I would not be surprised if Princess limits SD to Premier Package guests only, or only offers a small number of reservations to non Premier guests. It will depend on how this rolls out and if Premier guests can't get into the SD restaurants they want when they want.

Interesting.

My Sky & my Enchanted TA has recently ONLY selling Plus packages fare & Standard fare.

No premier on these transatlantic cruises.

First of all, it's 30 a day more.  And on more than one occasion you have stated that the 15.00 drink limit is OK with you, so obviously the Premier package doesn't bring you value.  But there are others that like higher end wines, which we don't, but there are many new drinks on the Sphere Class where we have 8 out of our next 10 cruises that are between 16-20 that we can now enjoy by purchasing Premier.  I'm forced to wait to purchase until we board in October because I have 400 in OBC to burn that I want to use towards our upgrade and Princess lets you spend it on an excursion pre-cruise, but not a package upgrade.

Pardon I should have said $60 per couple and I still cannot see me on a sphere class ship and on 14-21 day cruises it is just too expensive as I have no problem with the limits on plus package

I don't have an attitude at all.  I just prefer to sail on a different type ship than you do.  You prefer the older smaller rust buckets and sailing in suites and getting casino deals.

While I prefer to sail on the newest ships on various lines and because of the value of the Plus package Princess is our preferred line of choice.

You'll never have to worry about ever running into me since we will only sail on Royal and Sphere Class ships.  It's not snobbish to call small 15-20 year old ships rust buckets because that's what they are in my opinion.  You stay in your lane, I'll stay in mine, and we'll just agree to disagree as to what constitutes a great cruise.

I agree that we disagree on what makes a great cruise

I am sailing on the Sun Princess February 2025. I currently have the regular Premier package with 2 SD meals. I tried to upgrade on the app and pay the additional $10 pp pd. It kept saying I have Premier 2 SD. Do I have to call my Princess Vacation Planner to make the change? Was hoping to do it on the app. My cruise is fully paid. I have my 2 SD's booked.  But want to upgrade to book the rest.
