bbtablet Posted August 30 #26 Share Posted August 30 This evening (30/8/24) I received an email from Stockperks to say that my proof of share ownership has been processed, although it still says "in progress" on the redeemed screen. It confirms that my application was made on 23/8/24 and the cruise starts 14/09/24, so I am still hoping for confirmation of the £150 OBC before we sail, but it is getting tight! Yes, I applied just over 3 weeks before sail date so believe I should receive the OBC, no matter how long Shareperks take to finish the process.
bbtablet Posted August 31 #27 Share Posted August 31 ...... and just for the benefit of those who may be interested in how the system works, I have today received a further email confirming that my OBC has been credited. This was from an "uploaded document proof of ownership" application and took 6 days from start to finish.

bbtablet Posted August 31 #29 Share Posted August 31 Yes, but as others have said before, as I booked through a T.A., P&O will not send it to me - I need to ask for an updated invoice from my T.A. in order to see it.

bbtablet Posted August 31 #34 Share Posted August 31 (edited) My T.A. has responded to my request, so all is well - perhaps I am too impatient to wait for them to contact me! Edited August 31 by bbtablet
KevIT Posted September 3 #35 Share Posted September 3 (edited) I have successfully applied for my share benefit for my upcoming cruise but intend to Bed&ISA my 100 Carnival shares (on the same platform). Will I need to set up the Shareperks app again or will they be able to track this? Thanks! Edited September 3 by KevIT

You should not have to set up Shareperks again but if your shares are in an ISA then unless Shareperks have direct access to your account you will have to submit current proof of ownership for each cruise. Yes I just had to renew for a December sailing but looks like mine lasted for a year as two sailings in September and October were applied against last years upload but needed to re upload for this application. Upload was approved just waiting for OBC to be applied. No drama. Just used an image of share certificate from my phone. Edit Since writing this just checked my emails and I have received a new booking confirmation overnight showing the OBC. Started process on Tuesday and received it today so really only 4 business days plus Saturday. Definitely quicker than before Edited September 8 by Winifred 22 1

Definitely quicker than before I just started my first-ever Stockperk application, which seems to be going quite easily. I bought the shares through my bank broker and had to ring them to send a confirmation letter. I uploaded that and now have made the request through the app for the OBC and now have to wait the 5 business days for P&O to respond and credit my booking. This thread helped a lot, so thanks to everyone.

Thanks for the info , have got the app and submitted my request , could be quite an operation if you don’t have access to a smart phone 😕

SausPud Posted September 26 #49 Share Posted September 26 *update* My shareperk OBC was approved and applied today. So the timescale was Monday - Phoned for proof of shares Saturday - Letter arrived Uploaded to app Monday - Made claim for OBC Thursday (today) - Approved and applied. Simple and easy service. Shame we in the UK can't link our share account to the app, or my stockbroker can't email me the letter. That would speed the process up but only by a week. No real problem as still have 79 days until I cruise in mid December. I'm happy to answer any questions anyone might have.
Ranchi Posted September 26 #50 Share Posted September 26 We have obc through Stockperks for a fothcoming Princess cruise At the time of application a box popped up saying something along the lines of ‘Princess only authorise obc X months before sailing’. We had booked on a £1 deposit. We then booked a couple of tours and miraculously the obc was applied. I note in an earlier post that Shareperks needs updating every 3 months. Presumably obc already applied will not depend an updated status ie we don’t need to do anything until we apply for obc for a cruise after the one currently on the horizon.
