Norwegian Joy leaving Quebec

Our hotel room in Quebec has a spectacular view over the city.

It did mean that we had to watch the Joy leaving, without us onboard. 😞

Because Cruise Critic keeps turning the photos upside down I’ve had to copy a Instagram link rather than post them here.

When I sailed the Joy from NYC to Québec last oct I was surprised by how many people were staying onboard and sailing back to NYC (back-to-back sailings).

Sadly I had to get off and go back home 😢 fortunately home is a short train ride away.

Enjoy visiting Québec city!

Hold your phone the opposite direction and they won’t be upside down. Has nothing to do with CC.

If the CC website is dependent on what way up the phone was held when taking the picture then that is certainly an issue with CC.

I hold by phone so that I can click the side button with my right hand. I’m not going to change that just in case I decide to post on CC. I’ll just carry on using all the other websites (ie every single other one I’ve ever used) and posting a link here.

The shutter button has to be on the right side of phone when you take the landscape photos.

Perhaps you can invest in one of these - I use it a LOT when travelling, in tour buses, on boat trips, and LOVE this dongle!! I just hold phone up in one hand and click on the remote in my other hand. Works so beautifully.

BEAUTIFUL photos of Quebec City and the JOY!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’m certainly not going to invest in anything, or change the way I take pictures just because CC can’t handle it. I’ll just carry on using instagram (which I’m usually posting to as well anyway - all the right way up).

The thing about using the phone as a camera is that you always have it. I would never be carrying another bit of kit around with me.
