The contract for UK residents does not mention smoking or vaping. We have contracts for cruises booked a year ago and a contract for a cruise booked 2 weeks ago and none of them mention anything about smoking or vaping. It is confusing when 2 people on the same cruise will have significantly different contracts based on where they live.

No mention of vaping allowed in staterooms. Paid our💰💰💰💰. If we had known vaping allowed in staterooms, we would not have booked. The vape smoke, according to studies is even worse than tobacco. we can smell vape smoke, especially if one is asthmatic or sensitive… It lingers. Lovely 🤬 See post #
cruising.mark.uk Posted October 6 #228 Share Posted October 6 I am impressed by the faith of some posters that an amendment to the passage contract will mean that those who have in the past vaped / used e-cigarettes in their cabins (apparently, without staff or other passengers noticing / complaining) will cease to do so. ABTA code of conduct which princess sign upto may also have clauses. The web/brochure/contract would apply at time of booking. Cruise lines don't like the use of terms like "major change" as this kicks in the right to cancel without penalty. No, I was told that any subsequent changes would apply. I'd like to see that stand up in court though.

That's gotta be a record. 🤪 I wish all of you would complain about smoking in the casino instead. I just got off of Celebrity Reflections. What a pleasure to be in the casino without the smoke. Unfortunately it didn't change my luck. I don't know where the smoking section was but I never ran in to it.
Iamcruzin Posted October 6 #232 Share Posted October 6 I just don't see the Princess demographic being Vapers. They are more of the boomer tobacco generation which is evident in the casino. I can see this being more of an issue on Carnival, NCL, and Royal Caribbean.

Both passage contracts show that vaping is allowed in the stateroom but not on the balcony. The wording in our contract is in section 5. Am currently on board Regal. Agreed vaping us OK in some contracts and not in others! What will happen they agreed is "above their pay grade" but will advise from Corporate within a few days. Bgwest Posted October 7 #234 Share Posted October 7 Good Morning, We have received your inquiry and brought it to the attention of our upper management. They have clarified that our policy has not changed and a request has been submitted for the Passage Contract to reflect our correct policy: The use of electronic cigarettes, personal vaporizers, or electronic nicotine delivery systems is prohibited within the confines of the Guest's stateroom (balconies included) and is only permitted within designated smoking areas. We appreciate your patience as this was looked into, Guest Services Princess Cruises 4

nasa1974 Posted October 7 #236 Share Posted October 7 This is what is stated in the Princess "Onboard FAQ" under the "Smoking Policy" tab. Stateroom Smoking Policy Princess Cruises prohibits smoking or vaping of all types, including e-cigarettes, in guest staterooms and balconies. This reflects the preferences of a vast majority of our guests who value having their primary living space (both stateroom and balcony) smoke-free. As balconies are a hallmark of Princess Cruises, we believe it is important to keep this peaceful space clear of smoke. Violations to this policy will result in a $250 fine for each occurrence, which will be charged to the guest’s stateroom account. Keeping with the global trend toward more restrictive smoking policies and honoring the wishes of our guests, we feel this enhances our onboard experience.

Yes, I dropped them a note saying they have inconsistent language and needed to align it to correct policy everywhere. No response, but then, I don't expect one... Check it again. We have a 2025 Canada/New England Cruise and the contact now says it is allowed in the guest stateroom but not on balconies. From the NEW passage contract "The use of electronic cigarettes, personal vaporizers, or electronic nicotine delivery systems is allowed within the confines of the Guest's stateroom (balcony not included) and within designated smoking areas only." In fact, we have an 2024 November cruise also and the NEW Passenger Contract is now also in effect for that one.

What I have said quite a few times on this thread is that the passenger contracts for Australians on the Canada/New England 2025 cruise is different to those for people from the US. have posted a screen shot of my app passenger contract and the web passenger contract (although different) states vaping is NOT allowed. I’ve written to the princess customer relations director about the inconsistency but I am yet to get a reply.

I got a call from Princess yesterday afternoon and was told that the language allowing vaping in staterooms was in error and would be corrected as soon as possible. I was advised that the policy has never changed and that if I notice someone vaping in their stateroom or balcony that I should notify security immediately. And they again mentioned that they heard from a LOT of people about this. Thanks to all who took the time to let them know about this "policy". 3
