MississippiMom Posted October 6 #1 Share Posted October 6 I know that La Petit Chef has different rotating menus. Will we know before getting on the ship which menus will be offered for our sailing? If, no, will we get to see the entire week’s options once onboard or do they only announce them one day at a time? I want to pre-buy the LPC specialty dining as it’s 10% off for our sailing right now, but I have zero interest in the seafood only menus.
canderson Posted October 6 #2 Share Posted October 6 Have never once been able to get an accurate read on this prior to boarding. Even attempts to get this info through the shoreside concierge don't work.

It's been a few years, but when we dined at LPC, if you flip the menu card over, there is the alternate menu - it doesn't match the show, but if the "show" meal is seafood, the alternative will probably be a meat of some kind. I didn't like the appetizer (a tomato salad) and ordered the flip side appetizer, which was french onion soup. Yum!
Rare Lena11033 Posted October 6 #4 Share Posted October 6 When I did it the menu was only accurate when on board, I had selected a particular day and when the menu changed when on board I changed the reservation date.
jelayne Posted October 6 #5 Share Posted October 6 In our experience they have 1 menu for half the cruise and then switch to a different menu and accompanying animation for the 2nd half. 1

Never saw an all seafood menu , we love LPC and do it at least twice a cruise since we normally do royal suites which doesn’t charge for specialty restaurants. Last time there was lobster offered at end of the week but alternative menu had steak , since there is always two choices for the 4 courses we are always happy.
Rare zgscl Posted October 7 #7 Share Posted October 7 I have never had this accurate until onboard. We usually go on embarkation day and ask. On a 7 day cruise they had 3 menus, one for the first 3 nights, one the middle night and the third one the last 3 nights. On an 11 day cruise they had a single menu the entire time. On my most recent cruise I think there were one or two menus but opted out as we had seen both of them before. I never book until I can confirm the menu as some of the menus are much less appealing than others IMO (even the alternate selections).

The menu was posted outside of Qsine on the board earlier in the week. The main menu had two shellfish options. I’m allergic so picked mostly the alternate menu. My starter and dessert were from the main menu. Really good meal.
Alcairns Posted October 7 #9 Share Posted October 7 If you speak to the maitre’d at the beginning of your cruise he should advise which menu is on what night. There are four different menus each with different shows.
