Rare horseymike Posted September 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Does anyone know how close to departure you can book a cruise?
paul929207 Posted September 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2006 I beleive that if there is room, you can do it at the dock just before sailing. Paul
Sueseb Posted September 22, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2006 You can't book at the dock since 9/11, but not sure how close to sailing you can through the cruise line.
lvtotrvl1 Posted September 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2006 I think it is 36 hours prior. You can no longer buy a cabin at the pier.
molly361 Posted September 22, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 22, 2006 We just booked the Majesty of the Seas (which we just got off of today) two weeks out for 9/18/06- We were thinking of waiting until closer in case any weather systems developed- We were told the last day for bookings to be accepted for the Monday 9/18/06 cruise was Friday 9/15/
newmexicoNita Posted September 22, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Every line has its own restrictions: most are about 72 hours prior to sailing. Even before 9/11 many of the lines had discontinued the day of booking. good luck and enjoy. It is fun to plan something at the last minute.
