Pizzeria is located above the cabin 8384-- you want to avoid cabins that may be under the kitchens of this area.

It has been reported many times that staying on this deck UNDER the pool area you hear scrapings of chairs. SOme people hear it--some others dont.

SOrry you didnt know.

Next cruise please make sure your cabin is located between decks of cabin space and away frompublic areas.

Ok I have a question then being this is my first cruise how do you find a good room? How can you tell if it is under the kitchens or pools or whatever?

The best way to find out what is above or below you is to check out the deck plans on the cruise lines website, eg carnival.com. This way you see where each cabin is located and what is near, above, or below it.

As for finding a good room, it all depends on the person staying in the room and their preferences..:)

Take care and good luck!!

Anyone ever stayed in inside cabin #5049, # 5061, #5063?? They are on Deck five.

Please let me know of any complaits you might have. They seem to be mid ship and lower level so hoping they were an ok choice.

What would be a good ocean view cabin on the Carnival Holiday? Thinking about booking for Sept. 2009. Thanks.

Sept is high peak hurricane season and the chance of hitting rough waters is there. Book low and as midship as possible

Waters can get rough. Also alot of fog. The best for us is NO FLYING! Yes, mid Aug and ship is very booked up.Once took Holland America, Veendam, 10 day to canada, and where told we had been in 70 gale force winds, during the night, and we never felt a thing!I had heard that to save fuel, ships aren't using stabilizers as much. Anyone know when first canada cruises on Victory start this spring?

Hi gang. Sorry but did not want to read through 30 pages.

Just had our Princess Crown sailing - wonderful time. :) Must mention however that C702 was very warm. A/C did not work properly, even after two attempts to have it fixed.

Would sail her again and will do so probably in the next couple of years.:)

Just won't be in Caribe 702

1. Stay away fro inside cabins below the pools - sometimes in very light to rough sea conditions the pipes (that run behind the rear wall) will make terrible noises.

2. Don't book cabins below open wooden decks. You'll hear people moving/dragging their chairs and people running.

We booked late for the Mediterranean cruise on P&O Oceana in early May and were not pleased when on the first night in Cabin 516 (inside twin) we retired for an early night after our long journey and at 10pm were deafened by loud music coming from beneath us. It was the group Adagio playing in the new Monte Carlo club on the deck below and it sounded as if we had first row seats. We could hear every word of every song. It went on until 12.30. This went on every night for a fortnight.

The first day we complained and the sound (particularly the thump of the bass) was turned down, but I could still quote you all the words of 'Is this the way to Amarillo?' and 'Karma Karma Karma Karma Karma Chameleon' and if I never hear those songs again it will be too soon. The group repeated their limited repertoire every single night. If we had been in a hotel we would have moved out.

We did ask to be moved the next day, and the woman in the complainant's seat in front of us was from an adjoining cabin and was offered the last available cabin on the Lido deck. We did book late and realise you have to take what you are given, but there was no warning of the situation and no reduction in cabin price for the disturbance. We would never book a cabin in this vicinity again.

We got round the problem by going to the late shows every night and then only had to endure half an hour of the music, but it was half an hour too much. Also earplugs were a boon.

We needed an inside cabin for 4 across from an Oceanview so we were somewhat limited. I was disappointed to find out our cabins were on deck 2. I understand that we are in a very good place in terms of not feeling too much of the movement of the ship. It also seems like we aren't near the nightclubs and we have cabins above us so that seems to be a good thing. My only concern is that being on deck 2, will there be alot of noise generated by the ship's engine? This may be a silly question but I'm a releatively inexperienced cruiser and I've never stayed this low on a ship. Any other advantages or disadvantages I should know about?

a lot of people have their minds set that this is like steerage. Actually there are a few more decks under the bottom deck of passengers cabin.

crew sleep there. the medical facilities are under you. this deck will be one of the quietest as it is away from the general public area.

We have rooms 6209 and 6211 on the Liberty. Anyone have any experiences with these cabins? It is above the theater, but it seems to be more over the backstage area. Will we hear a lot of noise? I have never had a forward cabin before. Will it be windier than normal? Thanks!

Anyone have any opinions on these rooms??

yes it will be more windier then a balcony closer to the back of the ship-- but its not where you cant sit out there and enjoy the balcony.

If you happen to dock on the wrong side of the port--come out your door--- turn right and head to the front of the ship- access to the public is beside cabin 6207 (people can also stand out there and see you sitting on your balcony.

no noise issues from the promanade deck beneath oyu

midship/low- good selection. dark--extremly dark.

on one side is a cabin that holds 4 people-- the other cabin holds 2

We were just in 2342, one deck up, port side.

Great location between two sets of stairs/elevators. Felt next to no motion at all in the cabin.

If you go up the center staircase to Deck 4, you can go all the way aft to the Platinum Dining room.

If you look at the deck plan for Deck 4, you'll see the hallway that goes past The Green Room and through the Ivory Club. That doesn't work on Deck 3.

Just a heads up since most comment that you have to go all the way aft on Deck 2 or 5 then up or down to get to the dining room. This is another option.
