CM models makes a 1:1250 scale model of the Rotterdam V.

The model is available here http://www.collectableships.com/models/CM.htm

Now there is a model of her by Montego Products that was made in the 80's that might once in a while come up on ebay. It is larger, maybe 1:900 scale, made of resin and has the blue hull she had more recently, though now the real ship is back to the grey hull as she is renovated in Rotterdam for use as a hotel ship.

Thank you so much! I'm going to order this, which will make my collection complete!!

Beautiful new models of the Norwegian Cruise Line Ships from Scherbak Models. Included are the different subclass, Dawn & Star, Gem & Pearl, Jewel & Jade. All have the different hull art as well as any architectural / structural differences. I personally have the N. Dawn and think it is a great model.

Would you settle for an old-style ceramic model of Monarch's sister ship, Sovreign Of The Seas? I got it off of Ebay and used it as a substitute for another sister ship Majesty Of The Seas (until I got a resin Majesty also from Ebay).

Dagama10

Dagama10 Do you still have it? If not does anyone else have one. We just went and the store was out of them. We would love to get one for our collection.

Thanks

Julie

Hi Julie,

Yes I do! I periodically check this section on Cruise Critic specifically to see if anyone still wants it. I got it off Ebay for about $30 a couple years ago and it's in the same condition (missing the forward mast). I've sent an email to you so we can discuss.

Thanks,

dagama10

Just a quick thank you! I bought this model, and have been very pleased with it. I'll also keep an eye out for the Montego Products model as well, to have one which is slightly larger.

Here are the Montego Products models in my collection, from left to right you have the QE2, Sagafjord, Cunard Princess, Royal Viking Sea, Fairsea, Fairsky, Royal Princess, Rotterdam, Nieuw Amsterdam and Tropicale. They are pretty nice models.

I think the ship models we have are our favorite souviner from each ship...still too bad we didnt think to get one from Caribbean Princess:(

We had to ask our friend to buy and mail it to us.. at that time we weren't collecting them. But we got all the ships except Mercury and then some.

Princess's models are much smaller than all others, they even cost $12 instead of $25. I don't know why Princess can't make standard.

We started the ship model buying late in our cruising...looking for someone that might have the following, if they exist of the resin models:

Rotterdam, Norway, Rhapsody of the Seas, Disney Magic (greatly desired), Century (our honeymoon cruise 11 years ago)!, Norwegian Sea.

I would pay for someone's cost in shipping and purchasing these (of the current models). Please contact me-I would love to surprise my husband.

We just got off the Freedom of The Seas and they did not have any models of the ship. They said that the company that makes them for Royal Caribbean has gone out of business and they are in the process of finding a new manufacturor. Any one else run into this problem????

WOW that is bad news.... We are going on the Voyager of the Seas in March and to make sure I got one I bought one on E-Bay 6 month ago just to ensure if the ship was out. That happen to me on the Grand Princess. Someone here on cruise critic bought me one and then mailed it to me several cruises later.
