ahoughton Posted December 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2008 In looking for a Princess cruise I see offers for $240.00 onboard coupon or $75.00 onboard credit. Some offer both but some are either or. Has anyone received the coupons, if so what is offered? If it is % off on things we wouldn't use, I'm thinking we would be better off with the OBC. Thanks for any input.

Take the shipboard credit, it is much easier to use and get full use of. Enjoy!

Druke I Posted December 17, 2008 #6 Share Posted December 17, 2008 Actually, the book, when used as a coaster, gets saturated with moisture, and then the ink tends to run! Take the OBC.

ahoughton Posted December 17, 2008 Author #9 Share Posted December 17, 2008 I guess I found out what I knew. $75 is always worth more than $240. We have nice coasters but I use folded paper towels. Thanks to everyone for the info.

DrivesLikeMario Posted December 17, 2008 #12 Share Posted December 17, 2008 Me too. You have to spend quite a lot to get that $240 worth of freebies.

alicam Posted December 17, 2008 #19 Share Posted December 17, 2008 I would take the OBC as well...better to know what you have for sure than sit and wonder what is in the coupon book that you might use
DanJ Posted December 17, 2008 #20 Share Posted December 17, 2008 We probably got $20 or so value out of the book. $5 off internet, a $5 chip in the casino, and a free picture from the photo lab (after we bought a bunch of other pics of course). As others have said, there are a lot of coupons requiring a bunch of spending to get something. If you knew you planned on spending a bunch at the spa, art auction, scholarship at sea and onboard jewelry, you might get some use out of the book. I would have gladly sold my book to anyone for less than $75 LOL.
Caribbean Sunsets Posted December 17, 2008 #21 Share Posted December 17, 2008 As the saying goes, "A bird in hand is worth two in the bush". :) I'll take the $75 OBC any day, hands down!
Lynda90 Posted December 17, 2008 #22 Share Posted December 17, 2008 The coupon book is one of the most worthless gifts I've ever received. Not one coupon in it that appealed to me.
