The Constellation is an M Class ship. Take a look at post# 87 on the M Class cabin sticky.

Hi there, was looking for info on Silly cc 1080. First time on this ship, will be doing the Med-Israel Sept 2017. Came across your post and saw that you listed Springdale AR as home. Howdy neighbor! Us too! We are cruzinduo, Phil and Barbara. Hope to get to know you better. Barb.:)

Ship: Reflection

Sail Date: December 17, 2016

Cabin: 2210

Deck: 12

Class: S2

Area: Aft

Bed Near: Closet

Quiet: Yes, but--see Comments below...

Balcony View: Great--LOVE the aft!!

Balcony Size: Normal

Wind: No

Soot: No

Problems: None

Comments: This cabin is under the outdoor sitting area of OVC so about 15-30 minutes of chair movement in the morning by crew preparing for the day. It's unavoidable and really didn't bother us but I wanted to mention it nonetheless.

Additionally, this is one of this staterooms that shares a "foyer" with a corner S1. We love the foyers.

Ship: Solstice

Deck - 11

Cabin # 1592

Class – Aqua

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Cabin was below the forward area of the pool (about even with the bar). Could hear chairs being moved, carts, people walking. Chair noise woke us up early a few times.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – great unobstructed view, but the overhanging deck 12 shaded us from any sun. View of lifeboats was mildly annoying.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal Size balcony, we had ours opened up to cabin 1590 (cruising partners) so it seemed even bigger.

Was wind a problem? Somewhat, but was quiet with the door shut.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? None

Just a note back and wondering about the remark about seeing the lifeboats. They would have to be below, I imagine as Aqua is deck 11.

SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN #: 9374

DECK #: 9

CLASS: C2

AREA: Starboard aft, waaaaay aft

BED NEAR: bath

QUIET?: yes

BALCONY VIEW: unobstructed, bulkhead rather than another cabin on right

BALCONY SIZE: oversized

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Last starboard cabin aft. Larger balcony isn't worth the aggravation of the hike to get to this cabin. Too much of a commitment to "pop" out for a coffee or anything else, for that matter. When you leave, you might as well make a day of it. Won't book anything this far back on an S-class ship again.

SHIP: Reflection

CABIN #: 9296

DECK #: 9

CLASS: C2

AREA: Starboard aft, just off the elevator/stair lobby

BED NEAR: balcony

QUIET?: yes

BALCONY VIEW: unobstructed, toward the aft

BALCONY SIZE: oversized off the hump -- lots of room!

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Great location. Even though this is next to a housekeeping area, we had no noise issues from that. We did have a heavy-footed passenger in the cabin above us the first week, but no issues the second week. This is a connecting cabin.

SHIP: Eclipse

CABIN #: 1120

DECK #: 10

CLASS: Concierge Class-C2

AREA: Mid-ship-1st cabin aft of the hump next to the Royal Suite cabin

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Cabin-yes, balcony not always

BALCONY VIEW: Clear to the front and aft

BALCONY SIZE: Larger than normal

WIND A PROBLEM?:Sometimes

SOOT A PROBLEM?:No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:The cabin had a GREAT location near the elevators. The cabin itself was very quiet but, the balcony often had a noise like a plane taking off, guessing it was from wind? it was annoying.

Our room steward, I Gusto, was great--he was very quiet but our cabin was always clean and neat.

While the balcony was larger than most in this class, we didn't think it was really that big of a deal. It was angled and deep and the view forward was blocked from the angle of the RS next door. I think we would prefer just the regular well located balcony cabin next time.

I have a couple of balcony photos if interested.

Ship: Equinox

Cabin: 2102

Deck: 12

Class: concierge c1

Location: mid-ship

Bed near: balcony

Quiet: public restroom beside and above which are cleaned between 12:30 am and 1:30 am. Lots of banging stall doors (at least two slams per cleaning and sometimes four!) and since the pipes are next to your head and above your ceiling, the vacuum flushing is really loud. I could feel the vibrations through very strong ear plugs. In addition, there are service and storage cabinets adjacent and we heard metal scrapping noises around 6 am each morning as stuff was being shifted around. Not much noise from the elevator area, despite being right there.

Balcony view: clear fore and aft as this room is on the outside of the hump

Balcony size: typical

Wind: no problem

Soot: no problem

Comments: lots of chipping paint on the balcony. Water pooled on this balcony whenever the balconies were washed off. Maintenance had to come three times and squeegee the water off-- it was 1/2" deep. The door doesn't secure easily so must be sure you really pull/ push closed. The location is super convenient to the pool, the elevators and Ocean View.

Cabin # 9294

Deck 9

Class: 1A

Area: Starboard, Aft, just to the rear of the elevators

View: Unobstructed View to the back

Balcony Size: Larger then normal. On the angle of the hump.

Wind a Problem: No

Soot a Problem: No

Problems/Comments: Great cabin with a deeper balcony. Not as deep as 9292 or 9296. House keeping door adjacent but never had noise from it. My favorite location on the S class ships.

Date of Sailing – January 08, 2017

Ship - Eclipse

Deck - 7

Cabin # - 7317

Class –

Starboard or Port Side – sunset veranda

Bed near–bath

Quiet Cabin – quiet cabin that can be connected via outer doors that could be closed. It is a long walk to the elevators

Balcony View - – looking out the back of the ship is always relaxing. There is no overhang so balcony can be very hot in port or wet if it rains

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? – standard size – room for two chairs and a table

Was wind a problem? no

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? Yes, on some days

Any specific problems with this cabin? no

Any other comments? Shelf and drawer space are limited for two people to share. Keeping things tidy and accessible can be a problem.

Deck - 14

Cabin # - 4109

Class – Signature Suite

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Bed near(balcony or bath) – no balcony from the bedroom just a floor to ceiling wall of windows overlooking the outdoor tub.

Quiet Cabin : no one can enter the hallway where the 5 Signature Suites and 1 Reflection Suite is located other than the other 5 rooms sharing this hallway. Your hallway can only be accessed with a key card that opens the door to this ultra private hallway.

Balcony View -great sized balcony with one person tube and rain shower. Two nice reclining chairs with ottomans and a dining table. This cabin has a support pillar that cuts of the balcony a bit.

Was wind a problem? None.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? Not aft.

Any specific problems with this cabin? If you like dark than this room could be a problem, the nightlight from the bathroom is always on and the window from the bathroom to the bedroom can be obscured with a touch of a button but it does not block the light coming in. Also if you have a guest using the couch they must come through the bedroom to use the bathroom. Lack of drawer space in the bedroom require you to put clothes in the drawers next to the mini bar.

Any other comments? Awesome room and location, very private. The 12 foot ceilings really make this room special.

SHIP: Equinox

CABIN #: 9292

DECK #: 9

CLASS: 1A Veranda cabin

AREA: mid-ship near elevators/stairs

BED NEAR: veranda

QUIET?: yes - very early morning I could sometimes hear a faint "ding" from the elevators, but only if I was awake anyway

BALCONY VIEW: Some forward view, mostly rear view. This is the first cabin aft of the flat side of the "hump" so standing at the railing there's a view forward.

BALCONY SIZE: Huge! It's awesome.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No, very protected from wind, and it was really windy this cruise

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: It's possibly our favorite cabin on Equinox. Housekeeping closet is outside but we never heard anyone in it; it was a very quiet cabin. The divider between 9290 and this cabin was missing a plastic handle, which caused the divider to rattle in the wind, but they used duct tape as a work-around which helped. The extra-deep veranda was awesome for providing shade and wind blocking. Some peeling paint overhear, but otherwise the cabin was in good shape. The location is terrific, convenient to everything. Just far enough away from the elevators to be quiet, but still close to the stairs and elevators. Fantastic cabin!

Thanks to all who've posted cabin reviews!

This is a reminder to stick to the format:

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:

Please keep the colons and do not add blank lines. If we keep to the format, I can update the spreadsheet quickly. If I have to copy the review, reformat it and/or reorder it to get it into the spreadsheet, then cruzzzinma becomes crankyma. Cruzzzinma would rather be cruzzzin than cranky.

I've added a "Review Format" to the spreadsheet to make it easy to find the requested format.
