Possible group cruise B2B - Part 1 - Miracle - January 30, 2011

Ok good...we're added already. You are quick Sandy LOL. Definitely interested in the first segment. Have you been on the Miracle at all? You're gonna love the grapes in the dining room. The food was excellent when we cruised on her! the grapes gave us indigestion thoughLOL and ones on the chandelier on top of our dining room table literally swayed back and forth. I kept thinking it was gonna fall on me. However, we had a great time regardless of the grapes.

 

I've heard about those grapes! :D I'm actually looking forward to seeing them for myself.

 

My s-i-l (Andrea - flippr5657) is going to be on the B2B with us and she and my brother have done one cruise already on the Miracle, so I'll have to ask her about them.

Oh, those horrible grapes. Looked like really oversized Pepto Bismol tablets! Hated the dining room. Now they painted over the pink grapes and made them more of a purple, more like actual grapes...maybe it won't be so bad. Or, better yet, we just won't look up! LOL Certainly wouldn't be a deciding factor to cruise or not cruise that ship again....but, they are ugly and there are so many of them!

Oh yeah, the crazy "masks" on the walls in the theater....took me three days till I realized what the heck they were. The Phantom of the Opera's mask! I thought they were white blobs! How dumb was I???

The grapes didn't bug me that much, they kind of "grow" on you lol

Never saw the disco,and we only went to one show the whole time. Hubby discovered how quiet and peaceful the pool bar was at night, so that's where we spent most of our time.

The atrium is beautiful too.

Sandy, we were riding with a couple today that sailed with us on our Motorcycle cruise one year ago today. That was their first cruise. They mentioned that they would like to cruise again and I told them about this reunion cruise.

 

They are very interested in sailing the Southern portion with us so we may have two more! I would count them in until they definitely say no. She was very excited about the ports.

 

We did St Martin on the bike cruise but didn't get to ride to much because it was carnival in St Martin while we were there and most of the streets were closed to public traffic. So they didn't really get to see the island. We spent most of the day with the bikes parked on the beach.

Aw, sorry to hear that Laurie. I know not everyone will be able to do the reunion cruise, but it won't seem the same without all the Panamaniacs.

Ah come on Loz, just do the first half with us then. That's all we can do and that's not 100% (85% is more like it). We are looking at maybe waiting till last minute. Not sure. But both Dennis and I want to be there. We cancelled our cruise last year that did St. Kitts and St. Lucia so this would be a great replacement for us.

Hi Laurie, Congrats to you and JP on Day 9 of kicking the habit. We haven't decided were to go yet for our next cruise. Still knocking around a few ideas. We have until April of 2010 to use the free cruise. We're on board for the first leg of the B2B and hopefully the second. Wish you and JP could join us for the reunion cruise. Everyone had such a great time together on the Pride.

Unfortunately, the economy is keeping me out of trouble. :D Haven't had any work since January and when I called my temp agency today they said they are very slow right now. There's a Provincial election in BC coming up on May 12 and, hopefully, once that's over the government will get back to hiring temps.

 

I haven't even had enough spare $$ to go to the casino....that's how bad it is! :D

 

I did get my income tax refund check today, but think I'll hang on to it for now.

Hi Sandy.... I know what you mean about the economy. It's bad here as well. Detroit is Motor City (or was Motor City). Heck, with everything closing, we may not have any motors left here. It's truly sad...not to mention scary. Well I hope your temp agency's business picks up soon. Not good to not have spare cash for the casino! Congrats on the tax refund. If I were you, I'd hand onto it for a bit myself.

Sandy, heard anything back about the possible group cruise yet? Anxiously awaiting details. Looks like all the aft wraps are gone already. So are the special "secret" cabins with the great balconies.

 

We called Carnival just to see if anything we mentioned was open and nope! All gone. Cat 11 sides and Penthouse were available. Looks like we will probably be doing a regular balcony for this one.

Laura is currently on the Splendor group cruise, so we'll have to wait until she gets back. I don't think there will be any problem with getting the approval since we have a good sized group already and there aren't any groups for that time yet.
