Thinking of booking a cabin on deck 9 but worried about the sun and the balcony. There must be an overhang so I can enjoy the sea without the sun? Anyone with an answer?

We have booked an 8D balcony cabin on the Lido deck for our Victory cruise in November. Can anyone tell me how noisy it gets on this deck?

We chose deck 10 overlooking the Lido Deck just after the muster drill and just before sailaway. It worked out real well for us!

There's a small float-plane that does half-hour trips from the far end of the bay you see here, at right

 

 

you might want to check that out. I think it's about $100 per ride.

Does the Victory have priority disembarkation in San Juan? Do they hand out the Navy blue #1 luggage tags like other ships?

Rob, what is your opinion of cockleshell beach? Did you snorkel?

 

I really liked Cockleshell. Not the prettiest beach in the world, but not bad either. The Reggae Beach Bar was excellent. I had some excellent shrimp and my DG had the Lobster. The animals made it interesting. I did snorkel. There is seagrass everywhere but I did find several starfish. If you snorkle around the dock there are some nice fish to see.
