Solstice23 Posted June 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2009 We are cruising soon and would like to know what selections of food in the MDR are some of the best and why? We have not sailed Princess in a few years and would like to have this info to help select. We like Fish and Chicken, pasta, etc, not big on red meats or pork. Look forward to some suggestions and pics! thanks again

sunsetbeachgal Posted June 28, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 28, 2009 We love the pastas and usually order an appetizer portion. There is one with mushrooms and peas in a brown sauce that is wonderful. I love the fettuccini alfredo too, but can only stand so many calories!
JSWalk Posted June 28, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 28, 2009 I loved the cold or chilled soups. When I first saw them on the menu I thought yuck. But I decided to try something new. I am so glad I did. I did not try one I didn't like. My favorite I think was a peach flavor.

Langley Cruisers Posted June 29, 2009 #21 Share Posted June 29, 2009 The fettucine alfredo and the escargot are the BEST I have ever had in my life. The escargot were soft and tender, perfectly seasoned. The alfredo was delicious and creamy; I had a small plate of it every night on the side! Ask your waiter - he will be happy to do that for you. Toto2Kansas Posted June 29, 2009 #24 Share Posted June 29, 2009 The crab Quiche sounds wonderful - is it a dinner item - appetizer? The Crab Quiche is an appetizer, but it's one of those appetizers where you just can't eat only one. :)
Caribensun Posted June 29, 2009 #25 Share Posted June 29, 2009 If you have the Pacific Moon dining room their special dish,I think it was the beef with vegetable dish I had almost everynight, soo good. The fettucini alfredo, ceaser salad, Lobster & Prawns and of course the Princess dream for desert, just the right size too. A margarita to drink. Everything was good. I hope these dishes will be on the Ruby next year.:)
