Purchasing your next cruise while still on your cruise

OBC's per cabin for booking onboard are

$ 50 for 3-5 night sailings

$100 for 6-9 night sailings

$200 for 10+ night sailings

There is a new incentive for booking on board which started last April when we were on the Member's cruise from Valparaiso to San Diego.

Bookings on board now have reduced deposit and for sailings of 14+ nights the OBC is $300 per cabin.

For first time cruisers or for those who are not P/D/D+, do not book a balcony and are not shareholders, this is a nice change.

If you are a Diamond planning to book a balcony or above, or a stockholder planning to take advantage of the shareholder benefit, then there is generally no advantage to booking on board. You would be better off booking directly with a TA that offers some other incentive and using one of your other discounts.

I suppose one could argue that booking on board locks in an OBC incentive rather than the Diamond/stockholder incentive that could vanish into thin air like chocolate mints or free champagne at the captain's party.

Save me from doing the research.

What happens if you book a cruise while on board for next year, and you have to move the week, do you lose the OBC, and is there a penalty?

Thanks

No cost or penalty if it is done before final payment. Just make sure that you keep your same booking number
