  1. I’ve never experienced an issue before final payment date. Just did a price drop on one of our 2024 cruises with the last sale.
  2. It’s called dynamic pricing and nothing new in the travel business. Hotels, airlines, resorts all do it. Just book when you want to go and don’t worry about a few hundred dollars on a 10k trip…. Also, this is why you never cancel cruise planner purchases. Just call and let them adjust the original reservation
  3. We have Icon booked for summer 2024 but booked when it opened up for booking. Same cabin is now 3x and wouldn't do it. I would book Odyssey for that much price difference. If it wasn’t doing 6 day our spring break week we would book Odyssey again Might look at Oasis as an option. It’s at a very reasonable price for Spring Break
  4. That just sounds like a miserable cruise!! I wish they would announce 2024 and 2025 so I know what cruises to avoid booking.
  5. I’m all for this and wish they would do it for every cabin!!
  6. Right! And if I’m gambling that much I’m going on a better cruise line. Lol
  7. You are way better off getting off the ship early and going to a lounge at the airport to beat the crowds. Plus you have to be out of the room by 8 no matter what
  8. I have the same cruise booked. When booking it list the Oasis itinerary listed as western but in cruise planner it’s listed as eastern. Does it really matter what Royal calls it? Just look at the ports and book what you like. We cruise out of Galveston every couple years because we can drive there. If I have to fly we are going to go out of Florida
  9. I wouldn’t buy that black light. You won’t like what you find…. It is what it is. Same with any hotel
  10. If you pack a black light you won’t ever need a night light for the cabin.
  11. I’m always looking for deal! This is the first time I’ve been able to book 2 connecting cabins for the same price as 1 cabin in the same category. Seems strange!!
  12. We have a similar case due to a breakup. My understanding only one person has to stay on the reservation and the other people can be changed. But be careful canceling anyone as it could cause a reprice. We were told not to do anything and just have a no show at the port.
  13. It’s up to who ever is running the teen club. we had no issues with our 12 year old being allowed to join on our last two cruises. It does vary by ship though. Some are 12 and some are 13
  14. I get that but a lot of times we aren’t together so was just seeing if it’s a possibility. Not a huge deal either way
  15. Nope, I buy the package so I have internet under my login all week. We have transferred our free internet days several times on the first day by guest services and she uses her own login without issues.
  16. We usually get the drink package but we can book two connecting balcony cabins (me in one cabin and spouse/daughter in the other cabin for booking purposes) for the same price as a one cabin for 3 people next March. Since we are doing this, I plan to only buy one drink package and then the spouse can use all 10 vouchers per day. I know the vouchers can be shared but will they transfer my 5 vouchers to the spouse card so I don’t have order the drinks We have transferred our free internet days to our daughter’s card before but I’ve never tried for drink vouchers.
  17. I don’t understand why any Royal passenger would feel superior to any type of vacation. We enjoy it but also know it’s a budget line. If we want 5 star we do another line
  18. I would think it would work but I haven’t personally tried it. I’ve used it for cruise planner purchases several times in the past with no issues. Everything always codes the same once it hits the card.
  19. Got it also. Helps out on the drinks package!!
  20. Or they will be preparing for the following week and have areas closed off….
  21. This is how one of mine reads. It’s the risk you take with a guarantee. Unfortunately the OP may have not understood it. Hopefully works out for them! We were on Odyssey last March and some of those deck 6 rooms have hardly no view at all! There’s several maps of which ones are bad
  22. I’ve never heard of a 0% obstruction guaranteed room? The whole point of these is Royal can put you in any cabin in that category at a lower rate. Sounds like something a TA made up?
  23. The one cruise I will always stay away from! The arrogance in the suite/diamond lounges are bad enough on a regular cruise. 😂
  24. I don’t think MTD starts until 6 on most ships and it will be a different dinning from from your reservation so you couldn’t sit together even if they could go at the same time. Your TA should be able to get them on the waitlist then you can try once onboard. Make sure she has all the reservations linked also
  25. Yes, my understanding port/taxes and any onboard purchases are refunded if you no show or cancel ahead of time. We book our own private excursions and they had no other onboard purchases so that’s a non issue. From everything I’m reading, I’ll just call Royal a couple weeks from sailing and cancel the girlfriend so we will get port/taxes all taken care of and the son can then get double points for that cabin. Once onboard I’ll just get an extra key made for the daughter. I might put mom and kids in one room and I’ll take the extra cabin alone (with mom visitation rights) for a true vacation!! 😂
