This makes absolutely no sense and you sound like a used care salesman with this comparison!! Why would you compare local liquor store prices to drink packages? Drinks are currently $14.99 a day and every cruise we have booked for 2023 has drink packages between $72-$78 per day. So if I want the package at current rates it’s going take around 5 alcoholic drink per day to breakeven on the package compared to buying by the drink. Add the water, soda, coffee, juice I get each day and it’s less than 4 alcoholic drinks a day to break even on the drink package. I will gladly pay these rates and even more than buying by the drink even after our vouchers

I’ve been to coco cay 3 times in the last couple years including a rare overnight stay at the island. I would look to see how many ships are at the port for your sailing. If 2 larger ships are there it’s worth it to get away from the crowds no matter the price! If only one ship then it’s more personal decision but we love it. FYI it’s currently at a sale price of $302.99 a person for our June 2024 cruise….

Are cruise prices insanely high right now?
CruisingHogFan replied to bmarts's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The 3 we have booked this year are comparable to previous years. Seems like I’ve always paid around the same price going back almost 7-8 years so no complaints. I think too many people saw the deals after restart which were not sustainable. -
Non-refundable cruise change question.
CruisingHogFan replied to sm3ds's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Only applies for the first 60 days in the US after that the $100 per person happens -
Best post on this thread and true! We usually book an upper suite one a year and balcony other times. We always buy drink packages, internet, casino, etc. on the ship. I wish they would only allow suite guests in the suite area, lounges, coastal kitchen, and seat reservations for shows, no matter the C&R ranking to lower crowds. I would be ok not being allowed when I’m not in a suite even with my status. Cruise lines need to take care of people that spend more money vs. someone who is just Diamond Plus because they always sail in an interior room with no onboard purchases….

Non-refundable cruise change question.
CruisingHogFan replied to sm3ds's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Well I wasn’t trying to be insulting but the terms are there when you go to book. To answer your question. Yes you will be charged $100 per person if you change again. This applies up to final payment date then you can no longer make change. -
Non-refundable cruise change question.

Did you not read the non-refundable rules? I’ve change one sailing over the years and paid the $100 fee. Feel like I still come out way ahead vs. booking refundable rates -
The best deals I’ve seen for our 2023 7 day cruises are running between $68-$72 per day before taxes/tips. Icon may be a different story. Ours is $95 per day for June 2024.

Off the Chain while Price-Checking!
CruisingHogFan replied to jencruzin's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Carnival just announced today they are raising onboard prices. Prices were lowered/held the same to get back to normal. Now that demand is back prices will continue to go up. I wouldn’t consider anything in the pleasure expenses to be gouging. It’s not like we have to go on vacation…. -
We are thinking of this for our March Cruise after reading a lot of reviews of the group tours. Island is small so seems like an easy thing to do. Just haven’t decided if we want a UTV or Jeep

Deluxe Beverage Package
CruisingHogFan replied to Sparetiming's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Our cruise in March price is no different than our other cruises we have booked throughout the year We have also cruised every spring break over the last few years and have never noticed any more college kids than all the other sailings we do…. -
Air2Sea - Restricted Flights?
CruisingHogFan replied to LuCruise's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I would not use air2sea. If your flight are canceled before the cruise you will have a difficult time with them and be limited to replacement flights as they will stick you on the lowest cost option (overnight flight) and try to say it’s the airlines fault. I even read the Airline’s policy to the agent and he said sorry but nothing they can do. I called the airline directly and ended up talking to a senior supervisor at American Airlines who pulled the booking away from Air2Sea (very lucky as this does not happens often). I was then able to choose any replacement flight I wanted for no cost per the airlines policy. He acted like it’s a common issue…. -
We have them booked for our March Cruise!

I’ve had it work for new reservations, final payment, and also cruise planner purchases with no issues over the years. I purchased the beverage packages on Black Friday and received the $25,000 points a couple days after.

Deluxe Beverage Package

It’s all about what you enjoy in life! I pay $5,000 per year just for the right to buy season tickets for the Razorbacks. Add the actual ticket prices, food, drinks, etc and it gets expensive. But we enjoy it just like we enjoy going on cruises and not having to worry about per drink costs. -
Deluxe Beverage Package

These type post are amazing to me! People want to complain but it’s still a great deal if you plan to have 5 drinks a day. Plus add in bottle water, soda, Powerade, fresh juice and coffee. They could charge $100 a day (just like some other major cruise lines) and it still would be a bargain for most people. Some like me would benefit even at $120 a day even after our daily vouchers Have you been to a nice restaurant or bar and ordered a drink in the last year? Sporting event or concert? We paid $32 per mixed drink at Cowboys Stadium this year. -

What Do You Put On Your Cabin Door?
CruisingHogFan replied to DWALL's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Personally I don’t understand bringing anything for the door. Just takes up space in luggage Very nice wooden signs. Hope you aren’t too attached as I see them all getting stolen or messed with…. -

Looks like Royal finally figured out that people were buying multiple devices under one person vs. one for each person in a cabin. All my cruises are cheaper to book one per person and looks like the overall costs have gone up with StarLink. Oh well, it is what it is! Reading all these people so butthurt about the drink package sale not working today is free entertainment. 😂😂

Upcharges?? I think 2 meals is more than enough for everyone.
