Saint Greg's Venezia Transatlantic May 29, 2023
AKR2011 replied to Saint Greg's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Thanks for another great live! I really loved the post cruise in NYC too. I hope you get to relax this weekend before you have to head back to work. This definitely seemed like a trip where you need a vacation from your vacation. I got tired just reading along the past few days. ❤️⚓️ -
I'm happy to hear that you made it home safely. Thank you for sharing your awesome adventure with us ❤️⚓️

Saint Greg's Venezia Transatlantic May 29, 2023

I've definitely had that happen in the past. I actually find it very strange that mine expires in August and a new one hasn't arrived yet. I often get a new card years before I'm due, usually every time they update something aesthetically. I appreciate that since the chip is always wearing off and they charge you for a replacement when you ask yourself. -

I have BOA too, and I have never had an issue using my old card up until it expires even if the new one is in transit. They give a couple weeks buffer for the time it takes to ship to you. -
I'm so late for this, but mam, I cannot believe everything you went through just to make it over the pond! I hope you get a good night of sleep and I look forward to following you on the ship tomorrow, ❤️⚓️ Ashley

It's Time for a CELEBRATION!!! (with pics) - April 16th 2023

How was the #1 mini golf at South of the Border? I went to the tourist trap stop once with my husband during the off season and it was completely dead with nothing to do. I'm amazed they can still afford all of those signs on the road! Very disappointing 😔 -

What is the advantage to purchasing Cruise Next certificates
AKR2011 replied to Beer Belly's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I'm jumping in and trying to follow. As someone who books inside, Cruise First right now let's you buy $500 for $250. I could also get two Cruise Next certificates on my next cruise for the same deal, but I can only apply one for my next sailing. So, Cruise First is a better deal, right? I'm thinking that I may buy the Cruise First and still book my next one while on board so I can get the free upgrade. Does this make sense? -

Thanks for the great review! Did you see any kind of farewell from the crew on the last night? They used to do it in the theater and another review said tee crew walked through Bar City I believe on the last night on The Jewel. -
Welcome back, Sid! I'm excited to follow along again. I hope all is well. It's been so long since I've been able to get back to The Tribe I hope things are well at the condo and with your job. ❤️⚓️ Ashley

Thank you for another amazing review! I recommend Ebay for finding the ship ornament. I did that for one of my missing ones. Or find an upcoming role call and ask someone to look for you. I did that once too. Do you have any future travel plans? Your blog is incredible and I really appreciate everything you do to help others plan.

In general, I love the appetizers and often order a few to make a meal. At lunch, the peanut butter cheesecake is my absolute favorite!

I'm so excited for another Jeff and Patti review! You are also in great company on The Tribe Cruise next January. I haven't followed in a bit, but they are some of the greatest humans on Cruise Critic. I am very jealous of you all. I'll be following this review of course, but I'm also psyched for everyone joining Sid! -
I read a lot of cruise blogs. I have many favorites, and yours is definitely one of them! @ProfCruise is another winning site. She did a blog about how she runs her blog. Not sure if is too simplified for you, but here it is anyway: https://profcruise.com/secrets-of-a-full-time-cruise-blogger/

Teppanyaki as others have mentioned tends to be quicker, but so does Moderno in my opinion. The meats come out regularly, so there's no wait and the salad bar is self serve and delicious.

I'm piggybacking off this to go back to OP's 15 drink limit. Even if you paid outright for your drinks and they added up to $109 prior to gratuity, that would probably only be 10 or 11 drinks. So the value is MUCH higher than Carnival's 15 drink limit, and I might feel obligated to tip as well. Only my opinion, but I am happy to pay those grats ahead of time. I do drink more than 10 or 11 drinks/day when I'm on vacation and I'm glad that the bartenders are compensated.

Hi all. I am wondering if lunch menus are still rotating or if it varies ship to ship. Each reviewer seems to post differently. Some have posted one set menu while others show a change each day. I am hoping they still change. I know it’s just sea days, but I am a fan of MDR lunch. As far as dinner menus go, does anyone have an update on the one set dining room menu going to all the ships, or is it still just on Prima? I remember it was tentatively planned to be rolled out across the fleet, but then I read the pasta options being too difficult to keep? I’m definitely a fan of rotational menus, so I am hoping that they stay.
