  1. Two different reports. I will just chance it and see when on board
  2. One cruise leaving Barcelona, we managed to bring in six bottles of alcohol without being stopped. Went through security and then expected to put our bottles through NCL's scanner but it was straight onto the ship. We were ready to hand our bottles to be stored so kept them in our cabin till home time to take back home. So it is all about the security briefing in the terminal for port authority and then what NCL decide to do.
  3. You can use bar tab for afternoon tea? If so, then I will be happy as I don't drink
  4. Great minds. We do already with any new foods or restaurants. Try once and if you don't like them that's fine. But don't say you don't like it, if you haven't tried. That was installed in our relationship very early on. Never tried fish till we went out. Like sea bass, cod, haddock, standard fish in the UK but don't like sea food. On NCL we tried all their restaurants including speciality ones. Hoping to do the same here but it'd their holiday too so was looking to make sure my partner could eat too. When we saw the sample menus it look pretty fancy so posted on here for this kind of advice and tips.
  5. That's a better phrase Yeah I think that is her theory too. Pizza with cheese topping
  6. Think cheese pasta, meat and potato, no topping pizza. No vegetables or fruit. The video was really helpful and loved the look of the afternoon tea
  7. My partner likes plain and simple foods so we have been looking at the sample menus for the restaurants. But the dishes look too fancy. So looks like be asking to take out things in the dishes. Will she be able to eat well on Virgin?
  8. Prima sailing on November 11th. https://www.ncl.com/uk/en/cruises/9-day-mediterranean-from-rome-to-barcelona-italy-france-and-spain-PRIMA9CIVNAPCAGLIVCEQMRSPMIIBZBCN?sailMonths=4294934054&ships=4294925430&numberOfGuests=4294953449&sortBy=closer_to_me&autoPopulate=f&from=resultpage&itineraryCode=PRIMA9CIVNAPCAGLIVCEQMRSPMIIBZBCN Great price for an owners suite for 9 nights. £2338pp Bargain for just a penthouse cabin £1766pp
  9. My TA confirmed it is sold out. Well from what she can see. She can't take any more bookings on her side. Not for lack of trying But like CineGrapic posted it might be what VV is comfortable with just now. Just keep an eye on it
  10. It may be sold out now but keep watch in the months to come especially around full payment time. Some of the ones who just paid a deposit might cancelled then. And life happens and circumstances prevent people from joining the cruise. I asked a friend to join us too so will tell him the same
  11. If you are ok with a no frills airline then check out Norse airline who have taken over from Norwegian air as the no frills airline between London and the states. You can get their version of premium economy for the price of economy on other airlines. A lot of people who did our transatlantic cruise in May flew with them with no issues
  12. So it's your fault that they put us from a seriously suite to a brilliant suite. 😛 We actually thought there was a glitch cos the price was too good. Paying our original price which is more than you but the biggest cabin so can't complain. Though it would have been also nice if we receive the same cabin type for the cheaper price.
  13. Same day as us. Friday afternoon when we read people have submitted their forms on Thursday rather than wait till Monday.. They received an email saying they were downgraded so they called Virgin who said it was mistake and they got the same cabin category
  14. Success for our friends were on the cancelled cruise. They have now heard they are on the same rebooked cruise as us
  15. Going to have to say to our butler NO afternoon snacks in our cabin for our upcoming cruise on Joy. Would much prefer to choose our own and not have wastage.
  16. Can you imagine how I feel. I don't drink alcohol. Really need it to be loot. Another call to my TA
  17. We were in a seriously suite in our cancelled cruise but are now in a brilliant suite for our rebooked cruise. Same price as original even though it's way more expensive if bought as a new booking
  18. That would be the maitre D's job. However they usually need time to arrange to do it and it would mean one of the staff having to go to that particular restaurant to collect. Only food item not allowed to travel is sushi. And teppenaki would be a pain as it is served as it's cooked. Why not go to that particular restaurant and get the ambience too or get the butler to deliver it to your cabin?
  19. In our app it is showing as bar tab but in my email confirmation it is loot
  20. Success for us. Our TA who was back to work today spent most of the day on call with virgin to chase our rebooking. Suffice to say that we are now cruising on the same ship, Resilient lady from Barcelona to Athens in October 24. Going from a seriously suite to a brilliant suite with no extra charge as part of the guarantee given on Friday. So a wee win for us cruising two extra days in a bigger cabin. But we are still waiting to see if our friends have been successful. Our TA is also coming as she could get a sea terrace for £1200 per cabin and get the new promotion of $900 sailor loot. Fingers crossed for our friends and anyone else waiting to hear
  21. Do you think it is because your rebooking was unsuccessful and that's how they are dealing with them. Instead of asking if you like a second choice, it's all or nothing?
  22. Sorry I misread your post and the other post related to it. Looking forward to my avocado and toast in the mornings
  23. If smoked salmon is in the keto omelette then they should have some in the kitchen anyway
  24. I also agree they are trying their best to sort this out. The only criticism I would have is they cancelled the cruises on Thursday so they should have allowed people to rebook with the new itineraries on Friday before opening up to the general release. A pre sale like how they do in concerts
  25. Good to hear they are now coming through. Fingers crossed for those who are still waiting including me
