I’m in the minority, but the Grand is my favorite ship. The best excursion I’ve ever taken was for a floatplane over glaciers followed by a salmon feast, look for that one and splurge. On board, enjoy the late-night buffet offerings and don’t miss the International Cafe. And as much as I enjoy dressing up, very few passengers do so for Alaska. Just wear what you would to a nice restaurant.

OMG OMG OMG !!! I’m so excited for this news. FLL is so far away, and I’ve enjoyed Caribbean Princess in the past. It has everything I love about Princess, with none of the stupid zipline-waterslide-ice rink nonsense — and now in my backyard. I am absolutely thrilled.

I think I would have been in a panic when your private tour bus was blocked coming down the mountain road. I mean, I generally know which fork to use, but some of those items would leave me quite bewildered as to how to go about eating it — e.g., the yummy-looking shrimp puff pastry. The value of (1) doing what you know you really want to do irrespective of practical reality esp on a close call, and (2) the freedom and undoubtedly well-deserved indulgence that comes with the upgrade - - these things cannot be quantified in dollars. I say go for it. At least, these are the points I’m using to rationalize my way to Premiere. For me, I want to try some cocktails and whiskies beyond the ordinary. So screw it, I’m going to upgrade.

I considered cancelling the Plus, but wasn’t sure whether the price I paid would be refunded to my cc or just more OBC. It certainly would eat up the entire $1k, and that’s assuming the price doesn’t increase in the next year. Can I buy Sanctuary just for Transit Day? 🤨 A spa treatment sounds like a good way to waste some money - can I pay for tips there with the OBC?
