  1. Punta Langosta, downtown, near the ferry pier.
  2. Hi, I've got a question on this agency. It's been a few years for us. We are flying into Palm Beach, and then driving up to drop a National car off there, and then picking one up the next week when we return. I wanted to know if I can assume the drop off is fairly quick, since they can scan. I just remembered that pick-up the last time was bad with delays. Do you have any experience with the pick-up process at that location, by any chance? Oh, and Go, Bucks!
  3. Not sure where you saw it at $10. It was $12/person/show when bought tickets for our October cruise back in January.
  4. I'm wondering if that was tied to Robert Balla. When we sailed our B2B on Seashore in Feb - Mar, Robert was on the first week. The second week, he was on vacation, and Robbie stepped in as YC Director. We did notice people wearing shorts that week. We know one thing, though, and that is that inconsistency is a consistent practice at MSC.
  5. To add on to Phissy's response, I read this as you asking what YC gets you for drinks inside and outside the YC area itself. If that is the case, Phissy is correct on in the YC. Essentially, any drink up to $15. The same would apply outside of YC as well: any drink up to $15. The exception is specialty drinks at Jean Philippe. It's a licensee, so they will not honor YC policy.
  6. I have no personal experience (can't play basketball and hold a drink at the same time!), but sports-minded friends of ours have said the have basketballs. May need to show your card to get the ball.
  7. I'm wondering the same thing! I passed the info on to our Role Call and another group, and may now have to correct myself. Did a mock booking on the 13th, and there was almost nothing, but there are cabins on the 16th and 23rd.
  8. Seashore was not designed with priority call service like Seaside. Butler should have explained it to you. Seashore was designed to manage capacity and flow by what floor people indicated. You should have noticed that there were no floor buttons in the car, so the "priority" call wouldn't help you.
  9. Possibly all four at the same time!
  10. Wait! Hate to quote myself, but I wanted to add a fifth taboo: Dress Code, particularly as it relates to evening dress in the dining room.
  11. Well, I'm so glad that we finally had a thread on tipping that has really cleared things up! 😉 I want to add cruise tipping to the list of taboo topics, so now it would read, "No talking about sex, religion, politics, or tipping. Safe and happy cruising everyone!
  12. Very smart! You will live a long and happy life, at least at home!
  13. Well, you can come early, but not at 3:00 a.m.! Assuming it is a cruise from the US, they won't begin boarding until after 10:30 for the most part. The YC check-in area outside is usually not set up until 10:00. YC check in does not take too long, so we usually try and arrive around 10:30. That gives time for paperwork, a shore wait while the incoming passengers are off the ship. That has almost always worked well for us. Get our drink in the Top Sail Lounge and lunch by 12:00.
  14. What happens on Seashore stays on Seashore! 😉 In actuality, you are not too far off. The Atmosphere pool area (like Seashore's Jungle Pool) has the Atmosphere Ice Cream Bar. I don't believe it has gelato, but does have soft serve ice cream.
  15. This is one of those questions that we can confidently say, MAYBE, MAYBE NOT. On Seaside, there was no problem on a few occasions where DW had the salad and shrimp cocktail instead of the dessert. A few months ago on Seashore, it was denied. As with so many things on MSC, depending on the way you ask, the experience (and/or mood) of the server, or the instructions from the manager, they may allow the change, or may not. I do remember talking to someone in the Top Sail Lounge on Seashore who said they got the substitution by claiming that the goat cheese chart was his dessert, and that he wanted his "dessert" before his entree! Well played, sir! Well played!
  16. Thank you so much, for both the information and kind words. Robert was on Seaside for the build in Italy and the first year in the Caribbean. He came to MSC from a long stint at Princess. Very professional, but also outgoing. Alessandro has been on Seaview for some time. I hope your sailing goes well!
  17. We are coming on her at the end of the month. Curious who YC and Hotel Directors are, as well as the YC Maitre 'd. I assume they will stay on the ship for a few months at least. Thanks, and enjoy your cruise!
  18. This is true for one week on Seashore of their two itineraries. On our B2B, there was a bit of variance. As I recall from Seashore the week of Puerto Rico, the elegant night was not until Day three after leaving Nassau. I suspect the ship and the itinerary would be what makes the difference. Our experience has been that the night before the first sea day or the actual sea day usually coincides with the elegant night. As an example, our cruise on Meraviglia starts out with one day at Nassau followed by one day at Ocean Cay. I suspect that our elegant night will not be until the sea day on Day four, since on Day three we don't leave Ocean Cay until 9:00 p.m.
  19. Two days before. It tells you when you pull up your booking on line. Here's a screen shot for our 10/23 cruise, and it says you can buy extras (including beverages) up to the 21st.
  20. This may be more than you want, but has thorough coverage of drinks and restaurant menus. https://www.cruisehabit.com/daily-programs-menus/meraviglia-msc-cruises-bar-restaurant-menus-2021-08-20-000000-2021-08-23-000000
  21. Just one for Top Sail on 16. Two entrances on 18 to the restaurant.
