  1. Wow, beautiful, good morning!
  2. Is there any way that Regent can provide more shade on the pool deck? Maybe some kind of riff on one of those wedding tents?
  3. Have a great cruise! I’m anxious to hear your impressions of the ship to see how it compares to ours. We live right up the street from you on Hutchinson island and we shop at your Sprouts. Maybe our paths have crossed?
  4. This was a very serious problem on our recent Grandeur cruise. Chairs were held with books, caps, flip flops, and like items. The norm was that all loungers in the shaded areas were taken by 6am. All that was needed was an officer posted on each side of the pool deck from approx 5:00am to “remind” passengers that they were not permitted to leave their items unattended.
  5. Know and love macarons 💜 but was hoping to find out about the shiny and plump pastries on the plate. The OP thinks it’s a black currant, yum!
  6. I was also able to open it!! Gut reaction? I think I prefer 2026 but would love either. This luscious pastry makes me crave something sweet. Were they filled?
  7. Thank you so much for posting this @crusin7 and it is indeed the Splendor, wow, our favorite ship!! I bet the link won’t work until official date of announcement. Earlier you posted your beautiful pictures from high tea. What were those delectable looking lavender treats?
  8. That’s very unfair of you and it absolutely is not “clearly deceptive advertising” as you just stated. You waited till the last minute to book this cruise so you need to accept the challenges that come with doing things that way. The shorex booking window for your cruise opened up 8 months ago with full availability on each and every selection.
  9. Rumor is that the Splendor (our fave ship) is taking the WC.
  10. We are so anxious to hear more about the ‘27 WC. Anything more that you remember about the itinerary would be much appreciated!! With the splendor taking over the WC, is the navigator the ship on the chopping block or could it be the mariner? I have no idea but it makes me wonder.
  11. Wow, that special event looks amazing!! Your pictures are wonderful. We are signed up for 2026 and I wonder if that’s the same as one of our special events? @crusin7 when you say it was hot, do you mean the weather was very warm or that the food was spicy? Still, it looks like you had a fabulous time.
  12. @DaisyUK there are two completely separate methods to make a reservation at the specialty restaurants. The one method is to make an advance reservation out of the regular pool of tables. Having a top suite has no bearing on advance reservations and there’s no benefit to make an advance reservation. The second method is reserved for the grand, master, and regent suites to make a reservation on the day of dining out of that pool of tables. For the best choice of times, make your reservation through your butler early in the day. Its actually better not to make advance reservations because it mixes up the two pools of tables.
  13. Could not agree more that the mushroom soup is one of Regent’s best dishes BUT absolutely love it that there is a rotation on the specialty restaurant’s menus. That’s something that we’ve thought for years would be a great idea. @crusin7 keep those fabulous pictures and your helpful comments coming!!
  14. How I wish I could join you!! Luckily, your blog is taking me along and letting me lust over your butternut squash ravioli 😁
  15. How much fun is that, a local feast out at the pool grill? Your pictures and stories have been fantastic, thank you!
  16. Omigosh … both I’m sorry and thank you!! Managed to miss this and I appreciate the link!
  17. We haven’t been assigned our hotel in Barcelona yet so we are curious what the possibilities are! Please share your Regent hotel experiences in Barcelona. Thank you 😊
  18. Samur sail in Bonaire is an excellent shorex with some of the best snorkeling ever.
  19. No, not true. Describing or accusing fraudulent behavior is suggesting fraud.
  20. Bob, just read your review and I think you are spot on. We had a wonderful trip, didn’t we? I hope to sail with you and Jeannie again! The worst approach is leaving this up to the passengers to duke it out. Unless we had an absolute anomaly when we were on board, which I don’t think we did, the Grandeur crew has to implement a solution. I think the suggestion of a Pool Deck Supervisor is the best idea I’ve heard yet.
  21. Everyone from the top down is well aware of the chair saving situation on board. From what we were told, the crew will not touch items that belong to the passengers. We saw all kinds of infractions from people saving chairs for hours (literally) to people saving chairs in both the shaded and sunny sections. We felt that a crew member should be on hand to supervise the situation.
  22. Regent had a very similar policy last year when we were on the Splendor. It worked well! I asked about it and the officer told me that they would not touch items that belonged to a passenger. I asked that same officer if I should come earlier to hold a chair with a book and he said yes. And in fact, on the very last day of our cruise, all the chairs were taken by 5am.
