  1. The only two advantages for us (we don't do the spa stuff) is the shower heads in the shower on the E class are great and Blu ONLY in the Solstice class. We do not care for Blu on the E class and on the E class you are unable to also order from the MDR menu's but it is allowed on the solstice class, so consider this.
  2. Humm, I may have to think what you said here, to slow down, sounds like great advice to me. Thank you.
  3. I just booked a suite for the Equinox was debating. Can't you eat in the MDR also or at Blu?
  4. Thank you for explaining all of that. It is a blue chip offer, I am able to get sky suite or aqua class. I do not want to be "served", I need to move around and its just not my style having people do things for me, even getting my breakfast. lol. I am trying to decide so I won't waste a suite that somebody else could enjoy but you mention Luminae is good, so it may be worth it for that. It's possible this casino deal does not include the perks as if booking a regular suite stateroom and he is getting classic due to being sapphire, which makes sense.
  5. The kids have their own room aft cabin, what they wanted. Thank you.
  6. Thank you I will change my room it could be noisy. Thank you.
  7. Hello, We are taking the kids/grandkids on a cruise, we chose the Freedom of the Seas 8 night cruise for early December. I am an avid cruiser on Celebrity but figured Royal is best for children. I chose cabin 7534, my question, does anybody know what is in that empty "boxed" space opposite this stateroom? Thank you.
  8. I would like your advice for those who had a sky suite on the Equinox/Solstice class whether it is worth getting a suite on this ship? I heard there is no bar in the retreat, but am I correct to say there are servers that will get us drinks? What exactly does a butler do for you? I really don't want or need anybody to unpack for me. Are we able to get breakfast at 10am or later in our stateroom? Does anybody have the menu? How is Luminae, like to hear your thoughts about anything you can talk about regarding Luminae on this class of ship. Are we able to order off the MDR (we like Caesar salad) in Luminae? I was told that if I booked a sky suite it would include the classic drink package and premium one device wi-fi, why would they not just give us the premium drink package, did I not hear the representative correctly? (My other half is sapphire and we are both elite) Thank you.
  9. We had our cruise guarantee cabin last month assigned a bit over three weeks before the cruise and were upgraded.
  10. I am in my 60's and I do not know what that is or means. I don't live my life in riddles and jokes.
  11. Does anybody know what will be done on the Equinox during her dry dock this/last month?
  12. Hello, I want to book the Equinox up for early next year this morning and trying to decide which aqua class stateroom to choose. I always have avoided cabins that have the pool deck above me and I do not get up early in the morning and need your advice please. Aquaclass cabins are solely on the 11 deck. I have a hump cabin number 1608 available or should I choose cabin 1633 which has stateroom above me? Cabin 1632 is also available but I read somewhere it is opposite the crew doors which is noisy. I could choose a regular verandah cabin but this ship does not have the smaller dining rooms like the E class and I not a fan any longer on the large dining room unless you were to tell me it is better than Blu? We were on the equinox this past October and loved Blu and were on the Beyond last month and found ourselves dining in the MDR instead of Blu. Would appreciate any advice you can give us and thank you.
  13. Hello, We love the sunset bar on the Beyond and the Equinox. We are thinking of trying the Reflection in March, as we love the 8 night ABC island cruises. The seats at the sunset bar on the reflection do not look comfortable. We enjoy spending the evenings there, what are your thoughts about the sunset bar on the reflection and what is your most sunset bar, which ship?
  14. I been cruising Celebrity only since 2018, not Carnival. That is correct, Celebrity does not have the dates we need.
  15. I got off my last cruise last week with luggage, gifts for my friends in Aruba.
  16. That is the problem, they are saying no out of convenience because they do not know exactly who to ask to get the answer then I got two agents who said just miss the ship, it happens. This is my problem, I am not getting an answer from Carnival.
  17. Until I get somebody that actually did this and can actually give true results. Some people here do understand the true PVSA laws, like I do, it is not a violation to start off in a US port and disembark in a foreign port.
  18. Carnival will receive no fines since I will disembark in a foreign country, they will receive fines if I disembark in a US port different port than when I started the cruise with.
  19. You are correct, it is not a PVSA violation. The problem with people is they do not do the research in learning the actual rules/regulations, your correct. Departing in Aruba does not violate this law because it is not a US port. I would tell guest services that I will be leaving the ship for sure. They can't hold us hostage I can simply say that I just want to spend more time in this port and show them proof of my hotel reservation and my airline information to return back to the states.
  20. According to the PVSA rules, the cruise lines will have no fines since I started out in a US port and leaving in a foreign port. It is not allowed if you start in a US port and end in another US port, so the cruise lines can't charge me any fees as they won't incur any. Aruba Customs sent me the ED Customs card that I must fill out and it does have a question how I will arrive to Aruba and it has the option of choosing by sea and they ask the ship name. I would let guest services know I will be leaving the ship but if I do get banned it won't matter we graduated to Celebrity, our last cruises all have been on Celebrity. But I highly doubt I be banned.
  21. The problem is we not getting anybody to answer so I will keep asking, maybe find somebody who knows.
  22. Thinking of taking a cruise and getting off at the port of Aruba, staying a few days and flying back. I know people will say its impossible but I called Aruba Customs and they said its fine, as long as I fill out online the customs card that I am arriving by sea and flying back to the states on air. I know people miss the ship at ports or have emergencies where they need to disembark the ship at a port and fly back home, has this happened to anybody and if so, did you run into any problems or have to get special permission? I realize cruises can't hold us hostage, and the PUSA law does not apply to us as we are disembarking from the US to a foreign port so it is allowed. We really want to take a partial cruise and stay 9 nights in Aruba, like to hear your thoughts.
  23. Hello, We are conceding booking a panoramic oceanview on the Freedom of the Seas and have some questions: Would we feel ship movement more in these rooms since they are very forward and on deck 12? Will we hear any noises (we had the same room on a celebrity cruise last week but we were on deck 8 where every morning an hour before docking in port we heard loud noises we believe were from the lines/ropes for docking) Thank you.
  24. I just got off the Beyond this past sunday. I noticed those with the classic drink package got poor less quality liquor brands, such as skol vodka yuck. Also, the martini glasses are the smaller size, I would upgrade for sure and glad I always do.
