  1. Yeah, I wondered at the notification, too. Like “WT-“??? (Can’t add the third letter or it’ll be reported 🙄). OMG - 4 years since. Crikey! 😲 You have an upcoming cruise soon, don’t you? Where are you off to? We’re on Musica from Athens to Israel, Cyprus and Turkey in 13 days’ time. (Somehow I doubt the OP will mind this thread being hijacked. 🤣).
  2. Our preference is for deck 16 for access to the Top Sail Lounge and Concierge desk.
  3. Late disembark just means you can stay in your cabin an hour longer than the indicated vacate time. You need to inform your cabin steward that you wish to avail of this option (though it may not always be possible).
  4. I see an 80 minute massage listed on my upcoming booking. It doesn’t mention that it includes a gratuity, unlike the drinks packages, which indicate that beverage gratuities are included: So, it’s doubtful that it is included. It also states that it’s up to a 43% discount vs onboard prices (which incur a 15% service charge).
  5. Thanks. I was aware of how to log out (though it’s helpful information for those who weren’t), but, you’re right, it’s cumbersome. It’s slow to load, too, as Ottawa Cruiser has said.
  6. It won’t load the itinerary on either my or DH’s phone for any of our bookings. I deleted the app, then reinstalled it and discovered that I can access our Musica booking now (it used to only have the newer ships included). It’s a pain that it only allows access to one booking at a time. I haven’t figured out how to change bookings within the app other than deleting and reinstalling it, then inputting a booking number, or logging out and back in again.
  7. We’ve done several US sailings and found that they’re only slightly better (in terms of food offerings) than when in Europe (or South America, South Africa, Middle East or Asia - areas we’ve also sailed with MSC). Service tends to be more ‘attentive’, too. Although we have had amazing service in other regions as well, mainly because we interact with the crew a lot.
  8. This is so disappointing to read. We’ve been on Poesia and enjoyed it immensely (pre-Covid). We’ve felt for a long time now that MSC has been going downhill rapidly. It was acceptable when the fares were low, which made it a good value product. Alas, prices increased, but the product hasn’t improved. Food, in particular, isn’t any better than when fares were less than half the price they are now (and I include YC!). I guess they have to make the money for all the fancy ships they’re building (with far too many passengers onboard, leading to an even poorer experience aboard). As for the T-bone steak for an upcharge. It is definitely not worth it. We’ve had it on a couple of different ships and had to send it back on each occasion - tough, cold, overcooked! We’re embarking her sister ship, Musica, in a couple of weeks’ time. I’m really hoping that the entertainment will be a lot better than your experience on Poesia. I’ve learned not to have any expectations regarding food quality or offerings. 🙄
  9. Perhaps ‘bold’, italics and/or underlined may have been a better option. Using capitals is commonly perceived as shouting/yelling.
  10. Crazy prices for wifi for the Caribbean sailings. The ‘Browse, one device’ package for our 7 night Seascape sailing in the Caribbean next May is being quoted at €105.21 (€ is practically on par with USD). For our 7 night Musica cruise in 2 weeks (Southern Med) it’s €61.53. That’s some difference in price!!
  11. Was hoping to see some ‘snow’ along the Wexford coast, but the Rangers have put paid to that! 🤣🤣🤣
  12. I have a slow connection at the moment. We lost power half an hour ago. 🥺. I imagine they’re having a very rough time of it down there! Managed to play it. Hope there aren’t any eejits out looking for kicks.
  13. Not quite as bad as expected. Monsoon rain all morning and some severe gusts - especially around lunchtime. Then a lull; rain stopped and paths began to dry, before rain and wind returned. Thankfully there’s been no damage. Heard a truck overturned on a road out of Ferns. Hopefully no one was injured.
  14. We’ve had a few experiences on rough seas - not pleasant! Ship is deserted as everyone holes up in their cabins - including the crew. 🤣 Hope all will be ok up there in the northwest, too.
  15. When we were on Meraviglia in 2019, a passenger had a bad fall and broke her wrist at one of the elevators due to floor being wet. She had to go to a hospital on one of the islands to have it set. It was heartbreaking to see how much pain she was in and how much it handicapped her for the rest of the cruise. Despite this, the floor continued to get wet and nothing seemed to be done about it.
  16. We’re battening down the hatches for Agnes here in Ireland. Best of luck on the seas in this one.
  17. Hi J. The same is included in the information on drinks packages for our cruise next May. I can’t provide a link as it’s in the ‘My Booking’ section, where the various packages can be added. Will be embarking Musica in under 3 weeks’ time. I’ll be checking this out when onboard. If it hadn’t been for you tagging me I wouldn’t have seen this. I’d totally forgotten about it.
  18. Hi P. We’re on in mid-October, so will just miss you. OP - if I remember to ask 🙄 I’ll try and get an answer for you. Otherwise, I’m sure that perakcruiser will. 😉
  19. It’s a “perk” when booking certain categories of cabin (from Fantastica, up IINM). There’s also a 40% “discount” off pre- booked spa packages. These packages are more expensive, in other words, if booked onboard.
  20. When we sailed on Europa, Les Dunes was only for those in Aurea suites. Can’t remember which MDR we were assigned to, but it was shared with fixed-time diners (Aurea was in a section of it). It actually caused a bit of confusion if you went at the same time as fixed timers. They queued on one side and just walked in at their allotted time. Aurea guests had to queue on the left to be assigned a table every night. We had Anytime dining as Aurea guests. The clue is in the name. 😉. Just turn up any time between opening hours.
  21. That’s him! Had him for the 23 night New York-Canada-Miami cruise in 2019. Didn’t think he’d last with MSC. 🥴😆
  22. Is he the one from Disney?
  23. Well, in this case, it’s a question of flexibility one sometimes experiences onboard. 😁
