  1. While I agree with 99% of what you're saying, I will have to add that on both of my Riviera cruises this past year they did advertise the Wine Bar nights for La Reserve in Currents.
  2. That's not exactly right. If you have Olife the upgrade is also $30 per person.
  3. Could you produce a picture of this sign? And I do know the code and have posted it for you before. Here it is again, please notice the term no casual jeans. That would infer that non casual jeans(whatever that is) are allowed. "Recommended on board clothing is resort or country club casual. For evening dining, elegant casual resort wear is suggested. We request that casual jeans, shorts, t-shirts, baseball caps, sandals, or tennis shoes not be worn in the restaurants after 6 PM. Baseball caps may be worn in the Terrace Café after 6 PM. " For additional dress code guidelines refer to the onboard Currents. In full disclosure I do not wear any jeans to the GDR or Specialty restaurants, but I've seen many people over the years wear nice jeans in Oceania's restaurant that look much better than other people's K Mart duds that are completely within the guidelines.
  4. Do they have included laundry for a cruise this long? Truly, no one but you care if you wear the same clothes more than once.
  5. Just how much luggage are you taking? Perhaps this is part of the problem.
  6. Ok, hard to tell exactly what some people are referring to. Truly though, I can’t tell the difference between one pair of pants or another.
  7. Or it could be they are not wanting to pay the freight for the Wine Spectator partnership.
  8. Thanks for that correction. I see this nonsense frequently posted on cruise critic and get a good laugh from it. A good pair of jeans is no warmer than a pair of dockers or other non jeans style pants. The other amusing posts that you frequently see are the folks that seems to think Europeans are always better dressed than Americans. Seriously. LOL
  9. As Lyn mentioned above these are things that you negotiate before you actually book or transfer a cruise to a TA. Were you promised any of this before you booked with this agent or just assume since they were a Preferred agency that you would be getting them? What they told you about not all cruises getting the Grats would indicate they are only provided by this agency when there is an OCCAP or similar pass through. Nothing wrong with this, it's just the way they operate. Lesson to learn here is to know exactly what you are getting before putting money on the booking.
  10. I’ve heard the room stewards each have to take a shift shoveling coal in the engines to help reduce costs. 🤡🚢
  11. My wife has been in contact with them. I think I’m just going to see if my dr will give me an exempt letter.
  12. Oh, and about that tape for aerobics, do you mean that you are playing your own music? If so hopefully you have a set of waterproof Bluetooth headphones.
  13. Glad you pointed this out, as I was going to comment that the OP should disregard the source where they read this. There is no general after 6 dress code like you see on some cruise lines.
  14. What would you do about Brazil? Rio and south, no Amazon.
  15. That looks like it was right at the start back up after Covid, I think they were falling all over themselves at that time just to get people back on the ships. As has been pointed out in other posts they are becoming considerably less altruistic.
  16. Is that like the Hangout Music Festival? If so I'm currently right down the beach from where they have it.
  17. Just an FYI, there are no photographers on Oceania.
  18. That is correct, only on the O & A Class ships. You will have access to the Spa terrace at the front of the boat.
  19. Why is so many people have mentioned lately about drinks being above the maximum? Unless Oceania has changed this recently that is absolutely not the way their drink packages work. Seems people are thinking of the way it works on Celebrity.
  20. I believe those are the ones the upper suites get.
  21. As old Walter Brennan used to say in the Will Sonnett show, "no brag, just fact"🤠
  22. I don't have that one, but it seems I'm not missing much. I do have at least 6 others, but at least 2 if not 3 came from big O points.
  23. I'm not defending them and have tried to stay out of this as I have no dog in the hunt, but that was then, this is now. Apples and oranges. While I certainly would hate to be in the position that these folks on these cruises are in, I would have never booked a cruise to this part of the world in the first place, at least for the last 10 years or so, or maybe the last 50 years, or 2000 years, or 5000 years. Just my point of view, we all have to do what works for us. Book a cruise to a powder keg region and accept the consequences of what occurs. It's not all on the cruise line.
