  1. Well initially. In the end with the extra day in San Pedro I would call it 4 to 4.
  2. This is the first time I’ve been on an R ship since the NEXT refurb and I swear the storage layouts and drawers are less user friendly. At least in the C category.
  3. On Regatta right now and noticed more stale smoke smell in the Spa area(below the Horizons smoking area) than actually by the smoking area itself.
  4. The outside smoking area is on the starboard side. Always has been. The Horizons area is on the port side.
  5. When was this? On Oceania? Had to be prior to 2009, and I’m not sure those areas have always had a door. The big ships still don’t I think, but that could have changed.
  6. We didn’t leave port until 9 pm last night. We were supposed to sail at 6. Captain came on the intercom around 7 and announced they were having problems with the propulsion plant. A little later he announced it was fixed. We’re going somewhere now, SF I think.
  7. In another post you said you were OC Gold, which is 15 cruises, that gets the deviation fee waived. Just a consideration.
  8. Our recent experience, yesterday, was we had chosen 11 am. When we got to the terminal there was a huge group of people already waiting. Lady in charge said they don’t limit how many people can choose a certain time(big mistake) so they would randomly call a group of people to get in line to do health screening. Then they had lines for each category. I asked if they were honoring Priority Terminal Checking. She directed me to the Owners Suite line, not in Owners Suite. Showed boarding pass and was given key card and got right on the ship.
  9. One point here, it’s 175 per person. I believe this covers the whole trip. So it’s 350. I could be wrong but I don’t think so. We get them included so it doesn’t Matter for us.
  10. After viewing it on the TV other functions were still grayed out. Had to turn the TV off and back on to get them to work.
  11. Still enjoying the beautiful port of San Pedro.
  12. It’s actually either package gets the discount, but it’s pre boarding, but I think we’re covering the same ground over and over.
  13. THe answer I got is no. Once you deviate the transfer is removed from your invoice.
  14. Something doesn't make sense, only way to get Oceania Club discount is to pre purchase, yet people are being told you can't purchase until on ship. Are we sure they weren't talking about doing the upgrade?
  15. Where is that, are you sure it's not a matter of your interpretation? I thought it was referring to special drinks only available in those venues, such as sake special single malts in Polo etc.
  16. You seem to have it all figured out, go with what works for you, as I said I'm not wasting a lot of keystrokes trying to help someone whose mind is already made up. But having your gratuities paid for is a pretty good start.
  17. By full package do you mean the Prestige Package? The O club sheet says 10% off Prestige or House Select.
  18. I think it's when you buy the package outright, without Olife being involved. I don't know if has to be pre-cruise or not. Maybe someone that knows for sure can chime in.
  19. I think you might be missing where the advantage of using a TA comes in.
  20. You seem to be convinced that you can do as well booking directly with Oceania as those that use Travel Agents. I certainly wouldn't want to waste too many keystrokes trying to convince you otherwise. Any discounts, PPG or OBC aside, it about more than the savings. Do what works for you though.
  21. Is this the same as Rome Cabs? That's who we used; we had an E class Mercedes for the two of us.
  22. I've got hats and tote bags, so it's no big deal, but kind of the principle of the thing. When they started that new perk we were at 22 cruises. We asked the OCA if we could get them as they had just started, and we had already gone through all those levels. She stuck to the "you get them when achieving a new level" line. I do understand, but there should have been some leeway since the program was new. 18 was a long way to go to the next level. But if I do make it, I'll get another free cruise to go along with that hat and bag. In the meanwhile I can console myself with that excellent complimentary Oceania Club wine.
  23. The upside is that you'll have a year to hang around here and learn the ins and outs of Oceania. There are quite a few regulars here you can learn a lot from. I'll join Mauibabes in recommending the Premium Economy. For what they usually charge it's well worth it. I've flown to Europe in PE & Coach and for the 3 or 4 hundred extra it's money well spent. Did you book this through a TA? I haven't seen you mention it one way or the other. If you haven't you have 30 days to transfer. You might find one that will comp you the grats or maybe even more. That would probably be more than enough to cover the PE cost.
