  1. Our recent experience, yesterday, was we had chosen 11 am. When we got to the terminal there was a huge group of people already waiting. Lady in charge said they don’t limit how many people can choose a certain time(big mistake) so they would randomly call a group of people to get in line to do health screening. Then they had lines for each category. I asked if they were honoring Priority Terminal Checking. She directed me to the Owners Suite line, not in Owners Suite. Showed boarding pass and was given key card and got right on the ship.
  2. One point here, it’s 175 per person. I believe this covers the whole trip. So it’s 350. I could be wrong but I don’t think so. We get them included so it doesn’t Matter for us.
  3. After viewing it on the TV other functions were still grayed out. Had to turn the TV off and back on to get them to work.
  4. Still enjoying the beautiful port of San Pedro.
  5. It’s actually either package gets the discount, but it’s pre boarding, but I think we’re covering the same ground over and over.
  6. THe answer I got is no. Once you deviate the transfer is removed from your invoice.
  7. Something doesn't make sense, only way to get Oceania Club discount is to pre purchase, yet people are being told you can't purchase until on ship. Are we sure they weren't talking about doing the upgrade?
  8. Where is that, are you sure it's not a matter of your interpretation? I thought it was referring to special drinks only available in those venues, such as sake special single malts in Polo etc.
  9. You seem to have it all figured out, go with what works for you, as I said I'm not wasting a lot of keystrokes trying to help someone whose mind is already made up. But having your gratuities paid for is a pretty good start.
  10. By full package do you mean the Prestige Package? The O club sheet says 10% off Prestige or House Select.
  11. I think it's when you buy the package outright, without Olife being involved. I don't know if has to be pre-cruise or not. Maybe someone that knows for sure can chime in.
  12. I think you might be missing where the advantage of using a TA comes in.
  13. You seem to be convinced that you can do as well booking directly with Oceania as those that use Travel Agents. I certainly wouldn't want to waste too many keystrokes trying to convince you otherwise. Any discounts, PPG or OBC aside, it about more than the savings. Do what works for you though.
  14. Is this the same as Rome Cabs? That's who we used; we had an E class Mercedes for the two of us.
  15. I've got hats and tote bags, so it's no big deal, but kind of the principle of the thing. When they started that new perk we were at 22 cruises. We asked the OCA if we could get them as they had just started, and we had already gone through all those levels. She stuck to the "you get them when achieving a new level" line. I do understand, but there should have been some leeway since the program was new. 18 was a long way to go to the next level. But if I do make it, I'll get another free cruise to go along with that hat and bag. In the meanwhile I can console myself with that excellent complimentary Oceania Club wine.
  16. The upside is that you'll have a year to hang around here and learn the ins and outs of Oceania. There are quite a few regulars here you can learn a lot from. I'll join Mauibabes in recommending the Premium Economy. For what they usually charge it's well worth it. I've flown to Europe in PE & Coach and for the 3 or 4 hundred extra it's money well spent. Did you book this through a TA? I haven't seen you mention it one way or the other. If you haven't you have 30 days to transfer. You might find one that will comp you the grats or maybe even more. That would probably be more than enough to cover the PE cost.
  17. The only thing that really does is gets the person who gives you the paperwork a spiff for doing the upgrade, which is not a bad thing. In the past I would look for a waiter or bartender that I had known from a previous cruise where they would get the bonus. I'm afraid I won't know any of the workers as it's been so long since we've been on Oceania.
  18. Carol, someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but in the upper suites there is a complimentary gift set where you will find a bottle of the Elusive red as well as the other ones. In one of the larger booklets that has been sent out I'm pretty sure I saw a picture of it.
  19. I wasn't aware of that, but you definitely have a point about needing to have a Smart phone and know how to use it for a large part of future travel. We also went to AU in Feb 2016 on Marina, then 32 days to PPT.
  20. That's the word on the street, but it's a big country, there are a lot of places with plenty of workers. I won't argue the point with you, you're on the coast, I'm in the Midwest, we live in different worlds. I also won't tell you how to live your vacations, but I will say when I'm on Oceania I'm just fine with their way without apps, when I'm on Celebrity I'm fine with using their app. I did mention this on another thread, don't know if you saw it or not. On a very recent Oceania Insights Panel survey they asked questions about app use. It's obviously on their radar.
  21. Be careful what you wish for. I see apps everywhere in restaurants, fast food places etc. I see a big decline in service in pretty all of them in the post covid era. Just my observation.
  22. I see I'm not the only one that leaves out the A. I was telling my wife this morning I always have to stop and think how to spell it. I'll get back with you with an answer to your original question on Sept 10.
  23. So it’s ok if I download past answers in my brain and store them there?
