  1. Banishing them to Israel sounds rather harsh.
  2. If there are openings, you're prioritized after Diamonds (who are guaranteed their first choice) and guests who have no priority. So somewhere in the mix with Platinums and FTTF, likely at least higher than FTTF. Not everyone eventually clears the waitlist, either before sailing or onboard. Late seating is the least popular, so sometimes people who wanted early seating or YTD get stuck with late seating.
  3. To be more specific, your options for the free bottle are Chardonnay or Cabernet from Santa Helena, their house wine.
  4. Would have loved it on Harmony last week. Was on steerage on 3 and there were multiple times when the elevator stopped at each floor for 5 or 6 consecutive floors, especially going to the WJ on 16.
  5. Before there was YTD, you could select your table size preference at the same time you selected early or late seating. Except it was pretty useless if you wanted a small (2-4 top) table, because there were not nearly enough small tables for the number of people who wanted them, so you got assigned to large tables anyway.
  6. The free wine is Santa Helena, their "house wine". Your choices are Chardonnay for white or Cabernet for red, no picking another varietal as far as I'm aware of.
  7. I got their pre-cruise survey before my Glory cruise last month but never the post-cruise survey mentioned in the link.
  8. On Glory last month you could get made-to-order omelets (with eggs whites if you wish) at the Lido buffet but only with the new limited filling options: bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, ham, and cheese.
  9. On Conquest class all food venues except the MDR and steakhouse should be open for embarkation lunch. If you're looking to get away from the teeming masses crowding the Lido until cabins are available, there's a BBQ venue with pretty good food (and seating) on deck 10 that most people haven't found out about yet on the first day.
  10. It's also a FTTF benefit, and the FAQs for FTTF state that P&D don't need to buy FTTF because they already receive all the FTTF benefits as P&D.
  11. The terms and conditions of the VIFP program state, "One (1) complimentary specialty coffee, soda or alcoholic beverage with a value no greater than $10.00 + gratuity at Seaday Brunch." So your $2.30 charge was the $1.95 overage on an $11.95 drink plus 18% gratuity on that overage.
  12. For treatment on the ship, they charge to your onboard account, which you settle as normal, and you file with your insurance when you get home. It's only if you get medevac'd or get hospitalized that your insurance usually needs to get involved immediately. Either they suggest that you contact them first because they have negotiated rates with some providers or the policy requires you to notify them when getting treatment under those circumstances.
  13. More than 4 days. On the same webpage where you were looking for the cruise to post, Carnival states "Cruises may take up to 14 business days after a sailing to reflect on your account history."
  14. Because it still comes out cheaper than buying a bottle from the cruise line. I've brought a case of "cheap wine" on Princess (which charges corkage on each bottle after your free bottle at embarkation) and paid the (then) $15 corkage on 11 bottles. The crew collecting the corkage looked at me like I was crazy, but I did the math ahead of time and figured out doing so saved a couple hundred dollars vs. buying a drink package. Now that Princess introduced Princess Plus, however, I buy that since it's less than the price of a drink package alone (and includes prepaid tips and wifi).
  15. On that itinerary formal nights will be the first full sea day and the night of Cozumel.
  16. Check-in time is the time you enter the terminal to check in. Boarding time is when you actually board the ship and is not assigned If you're among the first to check in you will probably have to wait in the terminal until boarding begins. If you check in later, there's a point at which check-ins slow down and people can board as soon as they check in. Somewhere between those and you could be waiting behind hundreds or thousands of people who checked in before you to board before you.
  17. It's possible but not guaranteed. Check-in time (not boarding time) may or may be enforced on any given sailing depending on several factors, such as how full the ship is (especially with third and fourth beds occupied), whether that morning's debarkation went smoothly and on time, whether embarkation started on time and is going smoothly, and sometimes just who is in charge or working that day. But if you choose to show up early and are made to wait until your assigned check-in time, please don't complain, because you were warne that could happen.
  18. I would just send your land-based casino cards. If that doesn't persuade them, I don't sending in your Carnival, because like I said I don't think they interested in poaching players from one Carnival Corp brand to another. Plus the more premium Carnival Corp lines (like Princess and Holland l) are going to want to see higher play than Carnival to comp you comparable rooms to what Carnival is offering. For example I get offers for up to free balconies on Carnival and Royal but only interiors on Princess.
  19. But OP has free crise offers, not a loyalty tier level/card, because CCL and (to the best of my knowledge) the other Carnival Corp brands don't have published casino loyalty tier levels that you could use you demonstrate your level of play. The same company runs Ocean Players Club and the casinos for all the Carnival Corp brands. Honestly I don't think they're chomping at the bit to poach players from one Carnival Corp brand to another. If they were ínterested in doing that, they already have OP's play history on CCL.
  20. Even if you have assigned seating? My point was I'm not sure the app is smart even to realize that even though you have assigned dining you should be able to check in online on one night.
  21. I get casino offers for free cruises on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Princess, so I'm somewhat versed in the cruise line casino world. I have never heard of anyone getting cruise casino offers matched directly through another cruise line. I used URComped once, to get a free cruise from Celebrity based on offers from other lines I had sent them, but I had to cancel the week before due to a death in the family. So I can say they are legit. When they're pretty much the only game in town to get free cruise offers matched by other cruise lines, you have to play by their rules and on their timeframe.
  22. The advantage is that you can check in online and select your arrival time from the available slots 2 days before non-priority passengers, not that the earliest times will be available when you do so or (like pre-COVID) that you can show up before your assigned arrival time and (necessarily) be allowed to check in at that time.
  23. For a late embarkation, Carnival usually treats the first night as YTD for everyone, even if you have assigned dining for the cruise. Only one MDR (or one deck for Spirit class) is open. You just show up and get seated at an available table. I haven't had a late embarkation since Carnival started YTD check-in on the app though, so don't know if they're using the app (like MDE breakfast or brunch) for check-in or having people check-in in person.
  24. I've had that happen too many times... my bag is not in Group 1 and I have to go looking in other groups,.only to find the Group 1 tags still on when I finally locate it. Some of the port employees just don't care.
