So relieved there were no injuries. Freedom is my favorite Carnival ship. I am still a bit peeved they took her away from Galveston.

Don't know your specific interests but for me the Dream class ships have two advantages. Deck 5 is a great place to spend time with lots of food stations and lots of seating spaces and lots of walking opportunities. The spa areas on these ships are the best in the fleet. And the spa offers quick and easy access to the Serenity deck through the front elevator accessible from deck 11 and 12 in the spa. My only recommendation in that regard is if you choose to upgrade to a spa balcony, I prefer deck 11 because the balconies on deck 12 aren't covered. Oh, I nearly forgot. One deck (maybe deck 7??) goes all the way around the front of the ship. Windy, but beautiful at night. Happy sailing.

Cruise Cash VS Pay As You Go?
bury me at sea replied to CarnivalCruiser875's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I mostly agree with Shof because cruise cash, last time I cruised, was spend it or lose it. It's not a bad deal if you simply want to pre-pay some anticipated spending on board. Just don't buy more than you are SURE you will spend. The upside is that you will already have cash on your account when you board. -
The combination of COVID, three cruises cancelled by Carnival, and galloping deeper daily into old age has resulted into accepting I won't cruise again. Good news is three grandchildren with significant others have enjoyed gift cards refunded from my cancelled cruises. I miss you all. Happy Sailing!

Review of Feb 4-9, 23 Breeze Sailing and FTTF
bury me at sea replied to Eli_6's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Thanks for your review. I enjoyed our cruises on the Breeze, and like you, really liked the cove balconies. -
Enjoyed your comprehensive report and pictures tremendously. My granddaughter, her husband, and their 10 year old and 18 month old toddler were on this cruise. It was their first and they loved it. With kids in tow their experiences were obviously quite different from yours. It was fun to hear their highlights and compare them with yours. Happy sailing.

Milestone cruise coming up Saturday

Congratulations and enjoy! -
Prior to the pay for Seafood Shack option there was a free at lunch seafood station that had really good fried oysters. Long gone.

Steak tartare in the Steakhouse. Cheese plate in the MDR. Start every meal with that and a shrimp cocktail. Cold soups in MDR. Haven't cruised since pre-Covid so I don't know if these things are still available.

I received this in an e-mail from Rewards earlier this morning. I have tried it 3 times and got an Oops message each time, so I came here to see if it was working for others. Thanks to both of you I am going to try it one more time.

Just returned. Liberty cruise

Good review and good tips. Thanks for posting. -
It's a suggestion. You won't be turned away in sandals. Floors in galleys may be wet and/or slippery and they don't want guests to slip, slide, or fall. The meal and the experience are both incredible.

Totally Hearsay Thoughts on Breeze
bury me at sea replied to bury me at sea's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
My granddaughter's third cruise was on the Breeze. After her first time in the T-pool she commented it took cruising to a whole new level. -

Totally Hearsay Thoughts on Breeze

I really enjoy the Dream class, especially the Breeze. I was especially glad my grandson chose it. The spa on those ships is without parallel. -
My grandson and his wife just returned from a Breeze cruise, their first. Said they loved the cove balcony, the Serenity Deck, the Piano Bar, and scuba diving in Cozumel. Also quite fond of the on-board Pina Coladas. Said they had a great time. He didn't mention any negatives and I didn't ask. They never sailed pre-covid so had no comparisons to make. Thought I would post the reactions of two blue cards for what it's worth. Happy Sailing.

Carnival Legend May 28 - June5 short observations
bury me at sea replied to thundercrack's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Thundercrack, thanks for your thoughtful review. You did a good job of describing the current cruising conditions. My own non-Covid related health issues will probably keep me from cruising again, but the two granddaughters who often accompanied me are eager to sail the bounding main once again. Happy Sailing. -
Conquest is the perfect size and layout for me, specifically the Freedom. I love the Breeze too; the spa on the Dream class ships is the best in the fleet

I am sorry the op had an unpleasant evening. The Chef's Table experiences on the Breeze, several times, and the Freedom, in the delightful small private dining room, were the highlight of each of those cruises.
