On board no. Carried on can sodas, no problem. also, at both specialty restaurants I was asked if I wanted fountain or can soda. it has always been fountain sodas they served me. 2 for $5.00 includes tax & service charge. ( no drink package)

Agree. I come on here to share first hand experience about Princess. Good/ bad I go to HAL forum to share about that line. Debating why someone posts something here is a waste.

On Enchanted Princess now. Glad to feel the familiar. only 1700 passengers on this Halloween week. Crew went over the top decorating for Halloween. crew is happy, friendly, kind and everyone is bending over backwards to please us. a couple of inexperienced staff in Capri, but excellent service in Amalfi, & Sur le mer, so far. embarkation was a breeze. Arrived by 12:30 and eating lunch- no line up. Green lane- looked at app on my cell phone & passports. gave us medallions. Took photo and it was faster then ever. we used yellow cabs. could not get my account to show on app- 2 seconds with guy in Internet cafe straightened that out. 1request with steward & 1 call to room service got mini bar exchanged. food is ok, not complaining, no experience with Virgin or Viking, but I have sailed on other lines like Celebrity, HAL, RCL… and usually choose by ports & price.

What ship? What was the number of passengers?

On board by 12:30. Brooklyn- not busy at all. Dining room lunch. Halloween decorations fantastic. Candy in display by the stores. Received invite for free dinner at Crown Grill on Halloween!

Someone posted on fb they just disembarked Enchanted at Brooklyn pier.

On Oct 31- Journey- shows Halloween party at 10 pm

The port information in the travel summary page gives a link to Brooklyn terminal schedule. It has the Enchanted there Oct 29/22. can change anytime

My cruise will be over Halloween on the Enchanted. 2 formal nights, Halloween &???white &gold. Some mention of this last one, but nothing from the cruise line.

And all one has to do if stopped in line up is say they needed help with app.

At first I did not like the Tracking me aspect. However, that would have been handy when we had to stand in a long line 2 hours while the Japanese police came on board to remove a few passengers who chose to hide out on the ship & skip immigration. In the blazing sun we watched them & their luggage get removed.

Hey uncle boo, just like in the old days—- you can go on your computer, log in to your Princess Personalizer, go to your Travel Summary/ luggage tags, and print them off, at home. yes!!! The tags can still be printed off your computer. there is also a link there to complete a lot of your check in, instead of using the app. Princess reps will help at the Terminal if you cannot do it yourself. enjoy your cruise.

You mentioned Enchanted in Alaska, right? I board Enchanted in Brooklyn this Saturday- maybe you are confused. I was on Discovery Princess for an Alaska cruise in May this year. The food we had was excellent, plentiful. Service was excellent. Guess it really varies, doesn’t it?

Ellie- go to Virgin Voyages forum on this site where you will find some good, up to date, first-hand information and sharing about Virgin cruises. There are some people who have enjoyed this cruise line over others mentioned on these boards. Maybe OP will start a new Live thread on Virgin forum to tell about the wonderful replacement he has found.

The OP’s dissatisfaction with Princess seems to me to be the reason for this thread. There are posts- many of a positive nature on the Virgin Voyages board. Both cruiselines have something to offer, and a comparison needs to be fairly presented. I found the 3 videos of Virgin ships posted on the Virgin Voyages board very informative. I am not yet ready to say it is not for me.
