On Virgin Voyages forum on cruise critic- a video of a balcony cabin is posted by a couple who refer to the bed. no spin from me- I got those words from those who have been on the Virgin ship. your home bedding is irrelevant. kwokpot- posted the video. Sorry I cannot paste it here. many positive things have been said. I was interested in this cruise line as well as OP. Thanks for sharing- all posters deserve respect.

The bed in video I saw in Virgin Voyages forum- balcony cabin was a day bed- pull out couch. I did not see a regular bed, like balcony cabins have on Discovery Princess. My May 2022 bed on Discovery was perfect! As was the food in all areas.

Same impression here. I also saw that video of the couple’s cabin with only a pullout day bed. And tiny bathroom. Wonder about comfort and category?

This is the coach station, not train station. It is small. The 3-4 princess reps were right by the door to the buses, where the seating is. We went into the coffee shop next to it & a rep came to round us up. Very simple- give your name,, they give you a colour ticket, they load your luggage, sit down, wait to be called and next time you see your luggage is at cabin.

So glad you ended up with the upgrade you wanted. Enjoy 😊

That is a fantastic price!!! Congratulations. I’m leaning on booking lowest balcony & trying bidding to upgrade for my next Princess cruise. With elite- wifi, shop discounts, minibar set up, free laundry & my OBC I am doing ok.

Ha! After reading through the points guy summary ( link above) cruise on Virgin, I see where OP got that impression you mention. points guy mentions: ”Raunchy” entertainment,, dress requirements or lack of etc for Virgin.cruises. good review that I learned a lot from.

Nor can one fairly compare a Plus package fare on Princess to a base fare ( no drinks, internet, grats etc) on Virgin. As in OP’s first couple of posts. it is a very confusing thread.

I still can’t see a clear comparison: obstructed balcony to obstructed balcony cruise fare for each line taxes/fees for each line then compare the extras- wifi- discount etc then subtract OBC hope it works out & you enjoy it

If you call Princess can they add Plus to your booking? 10 days x $50 US? when I go to my existing bookings, go to Payments- I can add the Plus package after I have paid in full, right up to now-3 weeks prior to my cruise. convert today approximately: $50US=$69CAD $75US=$104CAD

I went by the Sheraton on the HOHO bus- it is located off the highway. I stayed at Hotel Plaza San Francisco- rate much less, location much better. tok taxi to/ from airport- can’t remember fare. Hotel will get a taxi for you. be careful- one driver tried to make us get out on the highways. We did not! and in Santiago & Buenos Aires pick pockets, purse snatchers are at work.
