  1. LOL, this can't be a serious post. Good job.
  2. NCL does not run a ferry to Hamilton, just to St. George's.
  3. So with that if it gives you some sense of security. Don't forget to tell them you're in Haven too.
  4. The gate agent with 100+ upset passengers won't care about your cruise.
  5. I have done the 3 and 4 night cruises on Carnival out of Long Beach and they are a hoot. But there is a big difference, the 3 night ones are genuine booze cruises with bachelor and bachelorette parties, makes for prime people watching. They run over the weekends. The 4 night one stopped for the day in Catalina which is a pretty nice day trip - and you still get to visit one of the Pacific's true dumps, Ensenada. Those left mid-week and you got a very different crowd. After last year Carnival upgraded to larger ships and sold off the previous two for scrap. Royal has some very cheap fares which even if they hit you for a single supplement still aren't bad. I am in a similar demographic and enjoyed the 3 night trips completely. More craziness than usual, but so what?
  6. The ropes course on some of the ships (like the Encore) has a short zipline (and walk the plank), then you can progress to Oasis ships on Royal, and so on.
  7. I think they want to get to D+ before going on Celebrity which won't accumulate more points. Then their next royal cruise will be D+.
  8. "Oh by all means, the rest of you 130 passengers need to stand aside so that these extra special guests can make it to their cruise." Sure, that'll happen.
  9. We skipped the train and did a van trip up to the suspension bridge in the Yukon. Several stops along the way, including the touristy "Welcome to Alaska sign" photo op. We also had a professional nature photographer as our trip guide, she was great. Lots of info about what it's like to live there as a seasonal employee, how the people deal with intermittent doctors on site, etc. Didn't have to deal with the people who hog the "better side" of the train in both directions. Similar but still different.
  10. Too many people on this site post what they always do on their same cruise line time after time.
  11. No. After a couple of cruises there generally isn't much left to "learn". Read the daily schedule and you know as much as most everyone else. And the over "loyal" people who rarely stary from "their" line often know less than others who get around and appreciate differences.
  12. That someone isn't familiar with the system doesn't make it deceptive.
  13. 5 Below has similar adapters and for cheap. Mine is approaching 10 years old, still works fine.
  14. True, but I learned with an Emerald discount on drinks, the full price showed up, I went to Guest Services and got the "you should have..." spiel.
  15. Yes you have to tell them. And tell them to charge your account for non-alcoholic drinks unless you plan to not use all four by the end of the day. You can also ask them how many you have available at the time of your order, they can tell you.
  16. What a lovely attitude. Really makes me want to tip even more. People should understand that the crew views passengers as little more than potential cash sources.
  17. Blazing Boots is the greatest show in the history of entertainment. It's so great they even put a parental warning on it.
  18. We are leaving out of Boston on Royal on a Sunday morning in September. Arriving by train around 8:30 am. Is there someplace near the cruise terminal with decent wine choices? Hoping to not have to lug the wine on the train and then over to the terminal. Thanks
