  1. This whole thing is disgusting. Whatever the case may be, and the discussion about compensation dollars, the issue is that nobody should ever have to deal with such a gross situation. I'd take my pillow and sleep in the crow's nest before I entered that cabin again.
  2. So there you go!!! Haha! Have a very happy birthday and a very fun cruise!
  3. Thanks for your review. I really liked all of the positives that you noted; I agree that it's a good value for your dollar most of the time. The water thing for many people is tough, because it is so expensive, but, like others, we feel tap water is just fine. I think your review is nifty, since it's so easy to follow.
  4. Some of the best cabins go early, so I also like to lock it in. Plus, this gives me something to look forward to. Makes my days happier!
  5. Thank you for this thread. Appreciate your effort and gives us new information.
  6. Yeah, we need a priest on board. I second that. I love everything about that and I am thankful for the faithful and hopeful among us.
  7. I never saw crew "sneak out" to use their phones. That implies sneaky. More than likely, they have a free moment or two to place a call. I never saw anyone work as hard as the crew. And, sorry to disagree about the "cultural pressure to walk counter-clockwise, but I never feel any pressure of any kind when I'm sailing. Maybe I'm the goofy one who walks in the wrong direction though, but no one ever gave me a stern look about it. I'm left handed and I blame all my shortcomings and clumsiness on that. Lol.
  8. It's all pressed so nicely! Not the job I do at home, that's for sure. It's worth bringing all my linen clothes onboard for the pressing!
  9. Club Orange is such a nice way to go. Quiet dining room and more intimate. I took it once without an upgrade just because it's such a treat. On that ship, my favorite cabins are on the main deck, outside. Your view is on the level of the ocean and it's an easy stroll up the stairs to Club Orange and Dutch Cafe. Great location. But, congrats on your upgrade and have a wonderful cruise!
  10. It's pretty accurate. I'm pretty sure I said to go with the flow. People seem to expect alot. I don't. That's all. I am happy to pay for what we receive and nothing more. This is getting complicated! End of my foolish comments
  11. Yeah, I can't even get a free drink which is like who cares. I get laundry. That's it. Who ya gonna call? A gazillion cruises and you are getting nuttin. Ha! Just book the cruise and let the chips fall. I'm not one to complain...just go with the flow .
  12. Titos is what everyone wants. How do I know this? I bartend sometimes at charity events. If someone has another favorite, it's news to me. Crazy, I don't drink it but it's the number one mixed drink ordered. So, if the cruise line doesn't have it, there will be alot of sad sacks.
  13. Nothing to worry about. All is well. People should just simmer down and enjoy the ride. My favorite thing is sleeping on a moving ship. Yes, I am a boat owner that can never sleep while we are moving, but what a great sleep on a ship!! Far from shore, moonlight on the sea, nothing better.
  14. Sneaky is one of my favorite words lately. Applies to just about everything, not to mention everyone. Not everyone, but more than I care to mention. Back to the positive thread about bashing the cruiseline.
  15. We've sailed several times on this ship and absolutely loved it. Been in different category cabins, too, but my absolute favorite was in a quiet cabin on deck one, oceanview. I liked it better than the verandah cabins since it is so quiet without slamming balcony doors. I like a quiet cup of coffee in the morning, and don't wish to hear my neighbor's conversations. Club Orange is awesome too.....it's all shiny and new and all good. Been on many traditional and older ships, but there is something about the NS. The staff is always excellent, as well.
  16. ping pong tournaments onboard when I'm trying to nap by the pool, haha!
  17. One of my best friends brings back dried fish in her luggage from the Phillipines. We all laugh at her because we know that is smelly food!!!
  18. Watch out. Any mystery areas near the dining room could be the galley and that's very noisy. Carts rolling all night long. We learned the hard way once. Only once. That's all it takes.
  19. Same. I don't need almond milk or oat milk or goat milk or flavored liquor whatever that is milk. Just need a coffee and don't ask for lofat milk. Just go with the flow. I always wonder why I stand in line. It does drive me crazy. Such a long line! But, crazy beats lazy any day of the week. That rhymes too!
  20. I'm one who reads the WC reviews here with great interest. Of course, the food on board is important and the entertainment, as well, but I am mainly interested in some of the amazing ports they visit. Some bloggers really go into great detail, and I appreciate that, and even though I doubt I can ever partake in a WC, I can live through the eyes of others. It's truly fascinating, our world. I'd have to sell everything I own, except for the fillings in my teeth, to do it, so it's not likely. But, I thank those who spend the time and money to share their experiences with all of us.
  21. Haha, now I'm totally confused. Not that it's unusual for me lol.
  22. When I saw the title of European menus, I immediately thought of all the menus in Europe that have pictures of the food. Very helpful, I might add. My Italian and Spanish language skills are weak sad to say. But, my love for the food is far from weak!
