  1. Would the gentleman in the fancy white gloves have access to all of the restaurant menus? I did some pricing on their website. Do you think I would get the same stellar service as yourself if I was in a Yacht Club Interior stateroom? It looks spacious. Your Welcome Dessert was a super nice touch!👍
  2. Visual overload. Way, way too much pattern happening in the cascading stairs pic you posted. However, after further review of your stateroom pics, I have to say that it is not that hateful. I am making lemonade here: 1.) I love that they have Aqua Panna still water on board, 2.) The mirror in the shower probably makes the bathroom look much larger, 3.) Walk-in closet is definitely a plus, 4.) Zebra pattern combined with all of the mauve (goes well with gray and greige wood finishes) is not as bad as I envisioned. Find any other cactuses? Are there views of the sea from the Yacht Club?
  3. Enjoying all of your updates. I guess I could stomach the decor and turn it into comical amusement especially if the service is as stellar as you describe and the cruise is a fraction of the price of The Retreat on Celebrity. Monochromatic gray and greige decor can be a bit boring. Nevertheless the images of the black and gold table lamp and mauve zebra print drapery and bedding will be forever embedded in my brain. I would have to give some thought to how I would manage the abundance of little people. And I would have to exercise some restraint with my feedback for late night dancing Queen with strapped-in baby out way beyond their bedtime.
  4. I thought you were going to walk into your stateroom and find the whole cheese cart. Seriously though I am gathering that this crew is bringing you their Service A-Game. Or maybe they are always this on point?
  5. Um....what year was MSC Divina built and last refurbished? This scene looks like the last dry dock turned everything gray, but this truly tragic table lamp and coordinating recessed planters were overlooked.
  6. Back in June 2022 I was on my computer looking at Celebrity's website and a popup appeared with a similar offer of $100 OBC on a new booking if I sign up for emails and texts which I did. Then I got a text with a link to all the fine print. See below. This one was called WELCOME100 and it also only applied to non-refundable promos. I did not care to book through the website, so I called my TA. She tried to get the extra $100 OBC added to my booking, but she was unsuccessful. What a total sham.
  7. I am so sorry, but I am unable to locate your review. Could you or someone else please post a link to it? I am loving reading this thread with your notes from your perspective of someone who had never cruised previously. You are off to a wonderful start with your fair review. Keep the details coming. We just came off our first cruise on a former R class ship. In some ways we really appreciated the small ship atmosphere, but some aspects left a bit to be desired. This leaves me curious about the mid-sized O class ships. How did you find the included adult beverages? Did you see any need to upgrade your drink package?
  8. Charla, Your turf and turf looks mouthwatering. What wine did you pair? I forget are your visits to the specialities complimentary because you are in an upper suite? Enjoy your last day. Looking forward to reading about MSC.
  9. I could not agree more. @GenerationXknows all of Celebrity's culinary secrets. What will she eat next? 😄
  10. Sorry for the hijack. So good to see you BeachTunes. I understand Millennium has been spruced up a lot like Summit was. We were on Summit in 2021 and had a great time. Stateroom was totally redone. Hope you are keeping warm up there. Paul and Tim
  11. Sorry I am not grasping your intentions of your post. Although this weird wording in Celebrity's Go Green link is open for interpretation, I have never found my personal items (unmentionable or otherwise) organized nor have I expected this of housekeeping. I think they may take one look at the mass of disorganized rubble in our stateroom on the first day and not even know how or where they would begin to bring it to any semblance of tidiness. 😄
  12. We just checked both our Celebrity and Azamara accounts. Another 5 points across the board. I guess Celebrity didn't see me doze off during that webinar last month. I presume when the reciprocity ends we won't see any more Power Up Points going on our Azamara account. Can someone post the Go Green link again or tell me where to go find it? I assume one must sign up for this prior to every cruise? Definitely want that extra night's points since we are in The Retreat next cruise.
  13. Rise and Shine and Bon Voyage, Charla. Have a royal good time. I will be curious to read your take on the rumored, newly abbreviated evening buffet in Oceanview Cafe (if you happen to make a swoop through there during your time on board.) I saw the horrific photos on a social media site showing empty counters for miles. Curious what any officers' answers to this might include. Supply issues??? 😄
  14. Sounds like a great idea, Charla. I am looking forward to the comparison on one continuous thread on the Celebrity board. I think it will be much easier on yourself. What theme nights are you organizing? 😂 You know I loved your emerald green Gatsby frock. Many of us loyalists on the Celebrity board are curious about alternative lines that offer more overall value. We just came off our first Azamara. We had not strayed from X since 2017. We have two more cruises booked on Celebrity. But we count our sole Crystal Cruise as one of our most memorable. Sadly we fear our next cruise on Summit will be our last experience in The Retreat as prices soar. 😭 We love Luminae, The Retreat Lounge, and The Retreat Sundeck. Like yourself we are giving MSC Yacht Club and Silversea serious consideration along with Explora Journeys, Viking, and Windstar. And for port intensive sailings we are not ruling out Holland America. Bon voyage! 🥂
  15. Schweppes spotted being poured in Spirits bar onboard Onward this evening. Not sure how long it has been onboard. Up until now I had only witnessed Royal Club on board, but I may have not been paying too close attention.
  16. Fearful of commenting further on Pinot Noir Aza-Drama because I believe management on board are reading along. Ordered Meiomi last night at dinner in Discoveries and I was bruskly informed by the the young sommelier that the previous night’s serving of Meiomi was “a mistake.” Totally awkward and embarrassing in the presence of new friends at the start of dinner. I did not make a fuss and settled for the Estancia which I was informed was the Ultimate Package Pinot Noir. A little training in customer service would go a long way here.
  17. Meiomi is a go-to wine at home. So when I saw that Meiomi bottle it was like I saw a long lost friend. LOL. Throughly enjoyed it throughout the evening. Learning of and trying out some new cocktail concoctions suggested by new friends on board who are seasoned cruisers and consumers.😳🤩
  18. Pinot noir update: Tonight upon being seated for dinner in Discoveries I inquired about a super Tuscan I sampled the previous night while waiting in the Prime C bar to be seated. I was presented with this menu again. I chose the Estancia pinot noir. I was presented with Meiomi Pinot noir.
  19. Enjoyed WA at lunch on Sunset Verandah first two days. Saw it served in Discoveries last night as well. So delicious. Still need to discover good reds.
  20. When asking about Ultimate Package inclusions in Discoveries last night on board Onward I was presented with this menu…. (Hopefully photo loads.) Any recommendations for the reds?
