  1. When online check-in opens for your cruise be sure to grab the earliest possible boarding time. We saw a backlog of multiple Celebrity shuttle buses arrive from Venice the afternoon after we boarded at 11:00. Heard from people on the buses that they were not allowed off the bus upon arrival because of the long cue to go through security and board. It is a pretty small operation at this port, so they are not equipped to handle a mass arrival like this. Spend the extra dough and hire an independent transfer.
  2. When we first boarded the ship we immediately went directly to the table where reservations are made. There was a line that quickly developed, but there were two crew members with laptops making reservation for people in the order that they lined up regardless of status. And the line moved quickly. Loved Aqualina. Service definitely seemed better earlier in the evening in the specialities. Went early in the evening before servers were bogged down by chef’s table and a full restaurant of patrons to look after.
  3. 12:02pm eastern time My gift box received. 10 PUPs. Grateful.
  4. Sat 9:41am eastern time No gift box in my inbox.🤣 Hope it makes it across the pond today.
  5. That was the idea. And all these PUPs helped with status on Az as well as Celebrity. Enjoyed a lot of aspects of the line. But not so sure I would jump at the chance to sail with Az again. It would either have to be a super-duper port intensive itinerary or crazy low price. I wasn’t pleased with all of the deck lunches consuming so much deck space for 4-tops leaving a shortage of loungers. Chair hogs were rampant. Nice piano player in the den in the evening. Most of the food was just so so. But yeah the frozen whatever was delish.
  6. Hey you two! Tim and I just met you on board Azamara Onward. Looking forward to following along with your report. Especially since I am already in cruise withdrawal and won't head back out to sea until December. Egads! Safe travels! Paul
  7. @njsmomI could not agree more with the above assessments. Enjoy!
  8. Last night, I received an email from Celebrity regarding the President's cruise to Alaska on Solstice with Captain Kate. Then, this morning I received another email from them about Celebrity Edge. It literally looks like an email from when Edge first came out. The subject line says, "The Magic Carpet: A 90-ton platform that levitates up and down our ship." It goes on to say, "Meet Captain Kate..." Is she moving back to the Edge?
  9. That place looks incredible. I believe a portion of your route back to the hotel could be made along the riverfront.

  11. So that does not jive with what they have on my MY Cruises as my Alaska Webinar is dated January 2021. I guess we should not be surprised. And my Alaska Webinar was 5 points not 3. And I have never called to request missing points.
  12. I do not have record of there being one in November 2022. I have 5 points for Australia and New Zealand Webinar in September 2022. Then the next one is 5 points for Deployment Webinar in December 2022. This morning I went through mine and it looks like they are all there including some I was not expecting including one webinar I had previously noted that I missed the deadline to view it although I think I may have viewed it. What was previously stated about cruises prior to 2014 not being listed seems to be correct on My Cruises, but the points for those older cruises are in the total. @newtocruiseinblueI am editing my post to add I believe some of the dates of the PUP activities on My Cruises may not be correct. For the Alaska Webinar mine says January 2021, but I see there were posts on here about the Alaska webinar in October of 2022.
  13. I am on the desktop version of the US website.
  14. That is the affogato. I read that too. Sounds yummy Have to order it at the Cafe. That is the only way to get our gelato for free, right? 😄
  15. ^^^This.^^^ Who hasn't? I hear this all. the. time. when I am talking cruise with someone. And not just the Caribbean.
  16. The gelato on Azamara was Azamazing...and included. Or was it even gelato? Oh wait, Wrong cruise line. LOL.
  17. I wonder if this is still thanks to post-pandemic pent up demand. Higher number of berths online equals higher number of bookings? Also, I see a tremendous amount of advertising from them and Celebrity.
  18. We enjoyed some wonderful pandemic land-based vacations within driving distance of our home. These definitely opened our minds to a broader variety of non-cruise travel. Although it will be noted that it seems like we have been on an awful lot of cruises since cruising resumed.
  19. I had nothing but the best of intentions with my news flash. We have 261 pages. Do I hear 262?
  20. @patty1955LOL. You are always good for a chuckle on here.
  21. To piggyback on this: if the phrase "Club Points" is clickable, when you click on it a drop down will show you your base points for that cruise as well as the bonus points for Go Green or Double Points booking bonus.
