    Rome Cabs

I have used Rome Cabs Booking and Civitavecchia Shuttle Express for shared shuttles...2015 and 2017 - a few years ago, but both were good at the time.
  2. Hope I live long enough to do almost this same cruise itinerary! Had one planned for my parents almost identical in 2019 which fell thru....think I will join them when we dare cross the pond again. thanks again for the wonderful trip report....This itinerary is almost bang on for me.
  3. Thanks for your wonderful reports! Is the Java Cafe included with the beverage package? thanks!
  4. We have a Southern Caribbean on Millennium booked for November, and every week or so, we keep seeing more excursions added. Just keep checking, and I'm sure they will start showing up. Also, in the past, it was common as the cruise got closer to see discount prices, so keep an eye out because you can cancel and rebook for the savings.
  5. hope you're feeling back to normal soon! Even in our own tiny town in NS, Canada, it is very common the last couple of months.... Basically, everyone just waits until it's "their" turn.
  6. I agree, most always, cruise company's offer lower prices and often even added perks to Celebrity's original ones. There are some really good ones too. It makes a world of difference when you find a good TA IMO.
  7. Our kids were always great travellers as well.... except we did the AI resort scene for their whole childhoods. - Ours were similar in that they liked the more basic resorts with fun pools over scenes like Disney, etc.... Now we're moving on to the next generation, and we like cruising now too. I know we would all enjoy it if and when the time comes for us to try it. :)
  8. Coming in the last few years to cruising as a regular traveller used to frequenting all inclusive resorts with AI packages, I have found the leniency in changing and cancelling cruises wild. I'm not complaining about this; it is just VERY different than booking AI packages from Canada to various areas in the Caribbean. It blows my mind how you can make changes, reprice, make new bookings, cancellations often with little or no penalties. Without going through travel insurance, this is not what we are used to. There is usually very little wiggle room with changing and cancelling AI trips unless you pay extra for the luxury. Now since covid, many tour companies have a much lower fee for possible changes, but in the past it wasn't nearly as common to see. It is nice to be able to have some room for changes including better pricing or added perks, etc... Just adding my take since getting more initiated with cruising.
  9. I have also looked at cruising solo occasionally because my hubby isn't always as adventurous as me...and I agree with you....Celebrity is really lacking in the Solo fare dept typically.
  10. https://www.canada.ca/en/border-services-agency/services/arrivecan.html any help?
  11. thanks so much for your Live reports....loved it!
  12. later June and mid September are both good months for the Med. Have done both and loved them - great weather most of the time - loved Croatia and Montenegro
  13. Boy, some of you are harsh and like to argue LOL - I'm not talking about kids that would be "looked after" by anyone else on board...1 and 2 years old....I can understand an older child range, but we're talking babies here. We are very experienced travellers, totally respectable people who would NEVER let our kids run wild or expect other people to "tend" to them. I realize my own posts weren't the argument factor here; I was just wondering if this was the norm for "baby" fares. Thanks to some of you for the kind, helpful words. Cheers everyone.
  14. Thank you everyone for your responses. I appreciate everyone taking the time :) It's not likely we will be doing 3 generation family cruises anytime soon, but I was just checking out the current promo with some future dates out of curiousity - and was very surprised at "baby" pricing. Someday, maybe we will check into it more closely. Our family has been very familiar with all inclusive resorts for many years, and that is always a future option as well. But since then, we have acquired an interest in cruising as well. We will see what the future holds. Have a good day.
  15. I just priced a potential late 2023 cruise with our grown children and grandbabies who will be 1 and 2 years old at the time. Celebrity prices them both at over $900 each. Is this normal? This is the first time I have even looked potentially at taking them, so I'm wondering if anyone has any insight on similar scenarios? It seems pretty crazy for 2 and less to be that price IMO.
  16. Same here...I checked last night and again this morning, and wow, it was down $500 - then also noticed "No Perk rate" lol.... Another joke "sale"
  17. Thank you for your reply. That is what I had thought from previous reading. Thank you for your posts and pictures - absolutely stunning! I never imagined the Alaska weather would be so lovely this time of year. I was considering June and wondered if that was even too early. :)
  18. Did the Royal Princess stay to the RH side when leaving Vancouver or did you have to go out around to the left where the dotted line shows? Just curious (Although I guess it was nighttime, so you may not have really known) I was thinking I read at some point that these ships couldn't go under the bridge....but I'm not sure about this.
  19. "Jamie, you may have just changed my life with the words “Grand Mimosa”. That sounds delicious and is definitely something I’m going to get on my next cruise." - I agree! LOL "I didn't dilly dally too long at WCB, because it was lobster night in the MDR! For me lobster night is a big deal, not because of the lobster, but because it's the night they have Blue Cheese Soufflé!!!" - I doubly agree! Being from NS, Canada, the lobster isn't what I go for on Celebrity; however, I LOVE that blue cheese souffle as well. It tastes like a dip! I've been looking ahead at my next cruise menus to make sure I don't miss it LOL. Cheers! I've been loving your posts.
  20. A couple massages would be lovely; also, I did the ship's tour once with OB credit, and it was interesting - did a few things I normally wouldn't have paid extra for.
  21. I had fun playing roulette with the "free" money too. We used the promo chips and pocketed the regular chip winnings. I ended up with over $200 cash at the end of the cruise. It was fun. We used a bit for the slot machines but didn't fare so well lol.
  22. We went to the beach club right at the start and it was very quiet and uncrowded- a bit busier later in the day. There are several spots you can rent chairs, etc. harbour lights, boat yard, cococabana. Further down in I think there are more restaurant spots etc. we just really liked that it was even in walking distance from the ship and it was a lovely little walk
  23. We walked from the ship to Carlisle bay beach in November 2019 and rented beach chairs/umbrella. It was a perfect day for us. The beach is absolutely stunning on a nice day. It is not very far at all.
  24. Thank you! I really appreciate your reply :)
