Can't add passenger, I'm about to cry.

They still have life boat limits. When they are reached, no one can be added. -

I Lost Ten Pounds on a Transatlantic
3yorkies replied to Ride-The-Waves's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Good luck on Holland. It has the most bland tasteless food I have ever eaten. I accused them of forgetting to even put salt on the ship. And if you can find a restaurant on land where you can get a filet for $20.00 good luck. I love the Chops and Giovannis lunch, as they have almost the same food for half the price. -
If the person on the casino comp does not sail, the other passenger is charged full fare. And they can't get another cabin if the comp is for ONE cabin for TWO people. So if it somehow slipped through I would say nothing but not expect it to work again. And the cabin must be booked solo to get the second point. (Not really double points, as if it is a suite it goes from 2 to 3.)

Allure Shows - anybody recently get off
3yorkies replied to hollon's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I love Blue Planet. My favorite show on Allure next to the aqua show. No thanks on Mamma Mia. Once was enough. But the aqua, ice, comedy, and BP I can see over and over. -
Harmony - Cabin next to elevator -Noise?
3yorkies replied to elh1's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I always try to get across from elevator, especially on larger ships such as Oasis class. My favorite deck is 8. I have never heard ANY noise from the elevator or stairs inside my cabin. -
Cruising right after Thanksgiving
3yorkies replied to shipgeeks's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I cruise that week every year as there are very few kids! I leave on Navigator out of LA the Monday after Thanksgiving this year. -
Hope this does not happen, as it could revert to the loss of our drink vouchers which are sooooooooooo much better than drinks in specific places at specific hours. That is why I don't cruise on Celebrity because I want to use my 5 free drinks when and where and on what I want, not choose certain limited drinks from 5 to 8 in certain locations.

Two Solo Gotchas, or RCI Screws People Again
3yorkies replied to SRF's topic in Royal Caribbean International
These have been the rules for several years. You only get the extra points if you BOOK it solo, which I always do. -
LAX to San Pedro Can Prime Time pick you up at the airport?
3yorkies replied to chamima's topic in West Coast Departures
You just hop on a bus right outside baggage claim to go to the LAX-It lot for Uber and Lyft. Call while on the bus and your ride is there when you arrive or within a few minutes. Easy-peasy. Well marked for both Lyft and Uber. For some reason I find Lyft cheaper from LAX> -
I tip $1 or $2 for both diamond drinks and free drinks in the casino. Sometimes in the casino I tip more if busy and that seems to assure they come back.

Had medical emergency being charged $941 pp
3yorkies replied to Floridado2020's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Passenger falls and breaks an ankle, requiring surgery and cannot return to the ship; the companion opts to also not return. The cruise line will incur a fine of $1,524 for the two passengers because they never went to the foreign port -- they were simply transported between two U.S. ports -- Cape Liberty and Bar Harbor. It is up to the cruise line whether the charges will be passed along to the passengers via their onboard accounts. In many cases, the cruise line can apply for and often receive a waiver from CBP for medical emergencies that require disembarkation, so it is advisable to notify the ship of an emergency in port that prevents you from returning. Be prepared to provide documentation that it is a true emergency. It may mean the difference between the fine being passed along or not. Above is from a Cruise Critic article in 2020. The line has the right to pass the cost on to the passenger.. It is currently $798 per person per government website, so not sure why the $143 difference. There may also be an issue as to whether the medical emergency of one person required the disembarkation of the second. But certainly it can take weeks, if not months, for a ship to be able to process a waiver/exemption request. From gov website: The Passenger Vessel Services Act September 2019 17 U.S. Customs and Border Protection Penalty * $300 for each passenger transported and landed on or before November 2, 2015. * $798 for each passenger transported and landed after November 2, 2015. * Issued to the vessel operator or carrier not the passenger. CBP does not have the authority to settle charge disputes between carriers that may have been issued penalties and their passengers The PVSA is very detailed as to the process for "mitigation" and how it is filed and that is is ruled on as they are received. We all know how quickly things are processed by many government agencies, so I would expect you would need to allow at least 6 months, -
September 26, 2005 CA Author #596 Posted yesterday at 10:57 AM So we made it to the city of Avalon, the primary town on the island. The island is about 25 miles long, but other than the main town of Avalon, the rest is barely inhabited. As far as I know of the major North American cruise itineraries, this is the only cruise stop that involves a US island. Key West, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and St. John are all US islands visited by Royal, also at least 4 of the Hawaiian Islands.

Agree 100%!!!!! I put that comment on the top of my review every time I return from Allure and tell Royal that she is my favorite ship!
-
I sure wish they would leave the diamond lounge alone and not add those hideous slides. It's terrible to move it to the dungeon with no windows. Ugh. Allure is my favorite ship right now.

None of this would bother me since I normally close the casino around 3 or 4 a.m., lol -
Grand Suite 1264 not what we expected or wanted

And I always look carefully at what is directly above and below me, not just what is around me on same deck.
