  1. There you go again... same false argument every time. During COVID our Queens hospitals were overwhelmed. We were blessed that many, many nurses from the Philippines filled in the staffing gaps. So you would argue that they should be paid what the salary for nurses was in Philippines? I would hope not. Same goes for Philippino workers on cruise ships. They are NOT working in the Philippines. They are working for a multinational corporation and should be paid the going rate for the industry where they work. What they would or would not make in their home country it totally irrelevant.
  2. All the RCCL ships have wheels with both a 0 and 00. That's 38 in all. Your $5 bet covers four numbers. Your odds of winning are 4 in 38 or once every 9 1/2 spins. Your 9 1/2 spins will cost you $47.50. Your payout will be 8 to 1 or $40. In other words, on average, you will lose $7.50 for every 9 1/2 spins. You should be very happy that you have been lucky and, as you say, you had a lot of fun. Just consider gambling to be entertainment, not an investment.
  3. So if you receive average service in a restaurant you use that as an excuse to not tip?
  4. Do you also tip those who provide good or average service with tips or is it just for the "outstanding" few?
  5. Still a losing proposition. You have a 1:9.25 chance of winning the bet at a payout of 8:1. Still, if you get lucky, you could play for a bit of time. Jacks or better video poker has better odds.
  6. I've seen the same thing in the DL. It seems like the majority don't tip at all. Of course, that's interesting because it seems like everyone on this Board tips, or at least they say they do.
  7. Sorry, but I can't imagine them turning anyone away.
  8. On that evening, just go to the restaurant that is hosting MTD and get in the line that says "Guests Without Reservations."
  9. If you’re in rough water, I would hold on.
  10. Manhattan on the Rocks Pina Colada Mudslide Long Island Iced Tea Gin Martini
  11. Full disclosure... I’m of Czech heritage. When we would travel to Prague, we would make sure we had room in our suitcases to bring back a variety of beer which were bought at ridiculously low prices.
  12. Actually, it makes no difference whatsoever. There is no way RCCL would make a change before the scheduled end of the show. Costs too much to tear down the set, install a new one, train a new cast, etc..
  13. You may need to go to whatever the pub is onboard.
  14. I do too but RCCL only has the cans. Give it a try. by the way, Czechs are the biggest beer drinkers in the world, per capita.
  15. Pilsner Urquell, usually the only Czech beer which comes in 16 oz. cans Blue Moon is Mrs. Yogi’s favorite.
  16. Totally agree about Grease. It’s story line is blatantly offensive to women in so many ways. Don’t know why this sexist nonsense was chosen by RCCL. if anyone cares, I’m a male who also happens to love Cats.
  17. Have you tried the Czech dark beers... Krusovice Cerne or Brouchek Dark Lager? Ah, to sit in the beer garden in Prague with a Pivo.
