  2. Usually our delays have been for either Coast Guard inspections, or extra cleaning (fogging) due to illness onboard (previously Noro, but flu and other illnesses abound right now). But it is all a guess, unless they say.

  4. RCI has always been family friendly, so this isn’t surprising. And we have to know that someone at a board meeting at some point said, β€œCocoCay is such a hit (and money-maker). It’s too bad we couldn’t plop it on a ship.” Followed by a wide-eyed pauseβ€¦β€¦πŸ˜‚ That said, I remember when Oasis came out, and we wondered if we would ever sail her, or that class. We weren’t interested, other than Central Park. Didn’t like the limited ports Oasis class could sail. And now we love Oasis class. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ We get that the ship IS the destination. I know we will sail Icon one day, but not at this β€˜new ship’ price. We could sail Celebrity in a suite for the price of a JS on Icon. So, we will wait for prices to come down, and will def give her a try.
  5. We enjoyed the Chef Table the 3 times we did it. It was fun. πŸ™‚ That said, probably won’t do again till a menu change. Maybe there will be a menu refresh with the current menu-testing going on in MDR. We can hope.

  10. We are guessing that Oasis may not have a TA with passengers. Her Europe cruises are showing, but not her TA.
  11. Yeah, that was what we wanted to book. But, we decided to go with Odyssey. Guess we will have to book a TA on Oasis (or other Oasis class) at a later date. πŸ™‚
  12. Prices are dynamic, so that's hard to say what the price would be when she knows what her time off would look like. If the price is not tremendously different, and you get a good bargain (esp if there is a 'kids sail free' promotion), it may be better to add her now, and either remove her or leave her later, depending on which is the better price at that time. If you leave her on, and she is a no-show, you will get the port charges back when you sail. Also, if the ship is full, you may not be able to add her later, if there are quite a few cabins that have more than double occupancy, and they have hit the limit for that muster station that the cabin is in. People have had this problem before. If it was my family, we would have all on at booking, work it out later.
  13. An you clear your cookies, and/or try a different browser? How about the app? In the app, click on the little ship at the top, and at the bottom, beverage packages pop up. If you can, click on that, and you should get to beverage package choices. I wish you luck. This has been a debacle, affecting many.

  16. Definitely subjective. We also love the food, vibe and enjoy the pool. We book when we can grab it for less than $100 pp. Ours was $89 yesterday, so grabbed it before #crashgate started happening.
  17. We enjoyed it, and are doing it again, for $88 pp. The food is great and we love the infinity pool.
  18. Some of you may want to try the app for the beverage packages. Don't know if you will get the correct pricing, but the bottled water package showed the Black Friday pricing I saw earlier, and I was able to book thru the app. Heads up though. The app told me it didn't go thru, but AMEX said it did, and shortly after, I got an email from RCI that said it did.
  19. They must be having serious issues. My cruises aren't even showing on their website right now. Maybe they are rebooting servers. Who knows with RCI? πŸ™ƒ

  22. It must be having issues now. I did mine before 6 am this morning, and it was working fine then. Suggest trying a different browser, and if that doesn't work, waiting a couple of hours. Their IT dept should be at work now.
  23. Ours does add up correctly. They probably have some fixing to do. And I'm wondering if they are going back to one package only now.
