if you go to MDR for dinner -is it buffet ? also what is the latest you can change your dining reservation- same day? mid day? we have a group of 12 and I am sure someone will want to do room service or MDR.

thanks- now I see the adhesive part 1 more week!!

Unless changed since last year the tags have an area on the backside with a peel off cover. All you need to do is feed the tag through your luggage handle, peel off the cover, and stick the now exposed sticky surfaces together. They're remarkably strong and we haven't lost one since Silversea went to their present tags. We don't put our tags on until we're leaving our hotel for the cruise terminal.
thanks-now I see the peel off part- thanks

just got our paper tags- how do most of you attach to your luggage- with shipping tape? been awhile since I cruised?

Just got our packets from TA- says check in is at 11:30 departs 1 PM for 4.5 hour ride- is there any decent food/drinks on train? the luggage tags that they gave us are paper- how do they attach to the luggage-I feel stupid!!!

I just talked to Silversea and they said for the 7 day it is $140... so not $30/day- I told my daughter that maybe she could check in at work while in port but these kids think they need internet 24/7
-
is the pool heated on the Shadow? We will be there 6/29- 7/6

We are taking the 1:00 train to our ship- TA booked it -didn't realize there was a morning train but I am good with that b/c the time change will be tough....guess we will just walk around Anchorage before boarding train
-
I am planning to just use the daily hour for wifi and just use cell towers when in port.... now my daughter will need the unlimited package for work ...
-
is there a designated walking track on a certain deck?

Somewhat shocked to find that the wifi setup on the Wind is both completely new and no longer matches what we have had for the last year or so.
There is still one hour per guest per day free BUT minutes are no longer accumulated for the voyage, any unused minutes expire at midnight and there is no mechanism for tracking how much you have used unless you log out.
The instructions state that disconnecting your wifi also logs you out, but it doesn't. There are no detailed instructions for using the system in the suites.
The portal page has disappeared and there are no longer streaming movies available via the internet (to be replaced by the new interactive TV system - but its not installed yet on the Wind).
If you need more than 1 hour of wifi, then there is a premium unlimited package, $39 per day (!!!!!) or $437 for a 17 day voyage.
Unlimited standard wifi is $25 per day or $300 for a 17 day voyage.
Pretty unimpressed with this and cannot see it being anything other than another money making opportunity for SS.
So far have seen many guests either confused by this new system at reception or complaining about it.
Oh and the online instructions that show on the new login page are still for the previous system.
I am assuming standard is pretty bad since they offer premium-anyone know?
