  1. This is in the compass which you can access on your phone via a QR code.
  2. They just need to rename Jr Suite to something else to eliminate the confusion. Maybe rename it a Crown Balcony cabin since that seems to be the rage.
  3. Just charge your leftover OBC to your room when you're in the casino and cash it out. No need to go through the hassles of trying to undo prepaid grats.
  4. I was on Adventure in July and the apps were pretty much the same every night. I had never seen such a static menu before. I assume it depends a lot on the hotel director at the time.
  5. The only thing I don't like about Explorer is that the suite lounge is still in a windowless room midship.
  6. Well yeah, that aside. But the size of Icon won't be an issue. Availability of LNG, definitely.
  7. But demand for the drinks varies widely from ship to ship.
  8. Speed of service for the ships w/o an embedded bar varies so much. Is there 1 server or 2? Is there an event next door that slows down the suite lounge server? Can the server fill his own drinks or does he have to wait for a bartender? But, you have the full bar at your disposal. Despite having an embedded bar, the downside of the Radiance class ships is that you may not get a full bar to pick from. I've rarely left the suite lounge feeling like I didn't get my fill. But sometimes it takes a couple days for the servers to get in a rhythm.
  9. The gross tonnage is not a weight, but a measure of internal volume. They just added 15k more gross tons of inside space to Icon, even though the ship dimensions aren't much different than Oasis ships. I would imagine Icon can go anywhere Oasis can go.
  10. People love to leave bad reviews. People who have a good time don't tend to leave reviews. The ship is fine.
  11. No change Logistics for the 2024 season will be much the same as they were this year on Railroad Dock. Aft ship passengers will be bused to the upper Small Boat Harbor parking lot and the forward ship will again use tenders to transport passengers to the Small Boat Harbor south ramp. The landslide area will continue to be electronically monitored as well as utilize human look-outs. https://skagwaynews.com/2023/09/08/19-9-million-fema-bric-grant-reaches-next-level-of-approval/
  12. That's not the assumption. There's a whole science dedicated to risk and liability. For the given scenario, maybe 70 is the age that the odds of there being an issue start to be too much for an insurance company to want to cover patrons of that age.
  13. The cruise documents have been outdated for years in regards to bringing non-alcoholic beverages. Nothing has changed there.
  14. All ships will have pickleball. Too much pickleball, really.
  15. Since many are saying they can still check in on the website, I wonder if this is some trial deal for specific cruises.
  16. Found this from 2003 Gold (2-5 Cruises) A coupon book worth a couple of free drinks, discounts on photos, and casino match play A quarterly newsletter/brochure that has had a few good dollars off coupons for selected future cruises. Platinum (6-10 Cruises) Special priority check in line A "better than gold" coupon book (more good coupons) Robe in the room Open bar reception (we were invited to a 1 hour open bar reception at the Viking Crown lounge on our last Sovereign of the Seas cruise) Priority disembarkation Same newsletter, with higher value dollars off coupons Diamond (11+ Cruises) Special priority check in line A "better than Platinum" coupon book Robe in the room Open bar reception (Plats/Diamonds were invited to a 1 hour open bar reception at the Viking Crown lounge on our last Sovereign of the Seas cruise) Priority disembarkation Same newsletter, with higher value dollars off coupons Cabin Upgrades (friends on their last Voyager of the Seas cruise booked a cheap oceanview GTY category and received a suite.)
  17. For me it's the opposite. I don't like to have to go get the passport just to check in. I have all that info already to copy/paste in via a browser. Different strokes for different folks. I just hope they don't take one away because they'll be abandoning a large audience with a portion of that audience not willing or comfortable doing it in the app.
  18. Royal caribbean doesn't set age/weight policies. Those come from the vendor
  19. We can thank those French for giving us such a potty humor nautical term.
