  1. 😂 If anything in that is inappropriate to you I will warn you to never sail on the Carnival Pride.
  2. I switch from MTD to early TD dining on our upcoming cruise. We used to love MTD when it was exactly that. It would be open during both TD times. Now on our upcoming Oasis cruise MTD doesn’t open until 6:45.
  3. I’d do as Mema said and make them in advance. We had a GS in September 21. Never got a welcome email from the concierge so just showed up after to boarding to make dinner reservations. We were only offered a couple of reservations at 8:30 for dinner which I didn’t want so just left with no reservations. Later that night we were tracked down while we were in Central Park by someone from CK asking us what day and times did we want dinner reservations. I didn’t get the impression we could get all nights. We’re not the type to beg or pressure for good service. I didn’t want any reservations at that point but just threw out a night and he pulled us into a closed CP 150 and made our reservation.
  4. Chops and Giovanni’s have outdoor seating in Central Park so inside park view. JR and Playmakers have seating outside on the Boardwalk. You can see the ocean from these outdoor tables but it’s not an unobstructed view.
  5. No. You’ll get a email right away that you’ve redeemed the offer if you have one charge over $500. If you’ve made multiple charges that add up to $500 or more you usually won’t get that email but either way the credit will post when your billing statement is ready.
  6. No because I get it and use it every time it comes out.
  7. I almost purchased the 3 night pkg for Oasis but I figured out what my cost would be to just book the 3 restaurants I wanted. The pkg saved me $15pp but wasn’t enough to make it worth it to me to have to wait until on board to book the reservations. I like to book the days and times I want. Not what fits their schedule.
  8. I would think so. I used it today for drink pkg and it worked.
  9. I’ve got all three on my Blue Sky card. RC, Norwegian and Celebrity. I already used the Royal one and got my confirmation email immediately after the charge.
  10. I always get it on my Blue Sky Amex. Never on my Delta or Hilton. Sometimes on the Everyday card.
  11. Got it! Thank you! I’ve been checking periodically and had a Celebrity one but was hoping for the RC to help with the blow of the inflated drink pkg😊
  12. I guess you’ve got the summer premium pricing. I’ve got an ocean view with large balcony for $669pp in Sept. 22 out of Bayonne.
  13. Don’t forget they add 18% gratuity so that $1092 becomes $1288.56. I’ve been watching peoples posts of the drink pkg prices on board and they’re always more than if you buy ahead.
  14. I called a couple of weeks ago to change from MTD to traditional dining and the agent asked what size table we wanted. The booking is just for my husband and myself.
  15. You’ll know after you actually do the package for the first time if it was worth it to you. It’s really impossible to know what your consumption will be for everyday of a 7 night cruise. I can binge with the best of them but after about 3-4 days and nights of it I’m done. Plus I can’t really drink a lot and eat a lot. It’s one or the other for me so for me I miss out on lots of good meals when I’m drinking a lot. Then there’s also the unexpected not feeling well that can upset how much you can consume. At the old prices it was an easy decision. At double, not so easy. That said I hope you’re glad you got it when you’re done😊
  16. It’s Carnival. You can tell by the beach towels on the couch.
  17. Unfortunately I don’t think you’re going to see $61 again going forward. From what I’ve seen it’s more like $72 and up from there. My September Oasis is at $78. When you’re used to buying this same pkg for $38-$48pp then yes almost double the price seems ridiculous to me.
  18. It’s definitely a possibility. I live on the Jersey Shore and see them from time to time from shore. Dolphins I see all the time from shore.
  19. I don’t think the poster “cares” how others spend their money. It’s just the flip side opinion to the posts from others on how the drink package makes sense. Not everyone is going to feel the same way about something and that’s ok. No need to attack someone for a different opinion.
  20. You can actually see the MDR menu for every night of your cruise in the app anytime before your sailing.
  21. Check your cruise planner for your particular sailing. On my planner most of the specialty restaurants are on sale and cost less to book ahead than the on board regular pricing. After checking the price on your planner you can check the app to see the on board price for your sailing to see if they are cheaper to book in advance.
  22. Which won’t happen if they’re selling at the higher price.
  23. If people are buying at the higher prices then why would the cruise lines lower the prices???
  24. It’s worked for me in the past. I didn’t mean right from around the pool. There’s always a stack of extras somewhere around. It’s definitely dependent on the cabin steward. I’m sure some are more cooperative than others.
