I just upgraded to an OS on Oasis deck 14. Is this location going to be an issue with the pool deck above? Anyone with experience? This was the only deck available at the time for OS. If it’s not a good choice I can keep looking for something else to open up. I don’t cruise until September. Thanks in advance 😊

We’ve rented from Avis before and then dropped the car on our way to the pier and took their shuttle to the ship. It was very easy. I’d see who has drop offs near the port with shuttles and take the best deal.

The quality of the sandwich is inconsistent and very much dependent on the roast beef they’re using and what part of the roast they’re cutting when you get yours. Sometimes they’re at the grisly part of the roast which I don’t like. I make sure the roast is at least medium rare and always ask them to cut thin slices for me. If the beef is not overcooked and sliced right with the right condiments it’s a good sandwich. The roll is delicious 😋

I’ve cruised out of Bayonne several times and have never encountered traffic although we usually leave on a Sunday. We get to the port around 10-10:30 and never slowed until the baggage claim. You don’t want to get to the port too early because then the last cruise people will still be leaving and parking will be more of a challenge.

When I started cruising I assumed I would get motion sickness so I wore the patch. I had terrible side effects from it including brain zaps. I don’t think you’re supposed to drink alcohol while using but I did. One cruise I decided I’d just bring them and see if I needed them. I didn’t get any sea sickness without them and have continued to cruise without any motion sickness and using no medication. I’d tell your friend to bring the patches but start with the Bonine to see if it’s enough.

The minimum bids for suites on the email I just got are not much less than just upgrading yourself. A “fair” or “stronge” bid would be more than upgrading yourself. I guess they count on people not doing their homework.

I think it’s changed since Covid. When I called to change from MTD to traditional early dining the agent asked what size table I wanted.

I think you’re so off base here. Most people who are generous on ship are generous in their everyday life. A giving spirit isn’t something that’s turned on and off. Not sure what your parents deal is but it’s not the norm.

I’m confused. I just got an email invite to bid today for a September cruise. I’m currently in an oceanview large balcony cabin. All categories above were available to bid on. So you’re saying you can bid on those higher categories but the bids above GS aren’t considered?

I toured it this past September. Very lame compared to Carnival and NCL thermal suites. I didn’t bother going back.

We booked it thinking that because it was Halloween there wouldn’t be a lot of kids. Wrong! Lots of younger kids on Anthem. So many that my husband got the Norovirus🤮

Don’t cancel on line. Call and tell them you need to cancel one of the DBP and buy the refreshment pkg instead for that person. When I called I had already purchased the refreshment pkg for my husband and just told the agent I wanted to buy the DBP for myself. They didn’t ask me any questions about why just confirmed that my husband did have the refreshment pkg.

I recently bought the package just for myself during this specific sale and they charged me the $72.99. I had previously purchased the refreshment package for my husband. You just have to call to do it. They didn’t ask me anything other than confirming the my husband had the refreshment package.

The $72.99 is for each person. That’s the average price for each after the calculation.

I see those positions to be more part of the management team who are usually compensated accordingly. I feel like it’s the service employees that are historically not paid that well and that should be tipped. That said, I love to tip and am grateful I’m able to do it. I’ll happily pay the automatic tips as well as extra tips along the way. I have a standing rule that anything I win in the casino I split with the cabin steward. It makes me happy and hopefully it makes them happy too😊
