  1. So, given the profit on a bottle of wine, P&O will lose well over £250k profit on a 14 day cruise !
  2. If that was the case, they will have lost far more profit by being out of stock, compared to paying an extra 20p per bottle ! As you say, just sheer ineptitude.
  3. That's my understanding as well. We are all tracked constantly these days, so being tracked on board ship is just more of the same. After three Medallion cruises, I have seen zero evidence that Princess knowing my whereabouts whilst on board, has had any impact whatsoever on my life !
  4. No, 24 (?) night cruise in November/December.
  5. Absolutely - if Tesco can source thousands of bottles of wine, so can P&O.
  6. Not sure if it is just a UK "thing", but one of the major UK hotel chains have TVs with a preset maximum sound volume, so as to avoid disturbing guests in adjoining rooms. Perhaps cruise lines should adopt similar technology.
  7. Totally agree. There is absolutely no way that they can make that claim. The 30 or so Brits who missed the Regal in Athens this summer due to a late arriving flight can bear witness to the falsehood of the EZair claim I'm amazed that no one has challenged Princess over this statement.
  8. Widely reported, but absolutely no evidence of it in the majority of vintners, restaurants etc. World wine production is expected to remain stable in 2022 at about 260 mhl, despite drought and heat waves that record in many regions of the world.
  9. We did a Caribbean round trip on Arcadia, and a large group were chucked off at the first Caribbean island, due to anti social behaviour !
  10. Anecdotal evidence would suggest that the take up of the drinks package is relatively low, due to it being poor value for money, so I am not sure that your supposition is correct.
  11. Payment will be taken immediately from the credit card information that you previously supplied.
  12. But even if at full strength, what else could have been done ? EZAir is basically a travel agency. They cannot magic seats or flights out of thin air.
  13. That was a Game of Thrones reference, that seems to have escaped many people.
  14. To be fair, our last Princess cruise out of Southampton was October 2021, so Covid protocols had an impact on the boarding process. I assume that Suite/Elite pax would have seperate check in areas, but everyone else just joins the one queue.
  15. They don't bother even looking at the app or which lane you are meant to be in when boarding at Southampton. Everyone just joins the one queue!
  16. As you live in the UK you cannot have the Medallion delivered. You pick it up at the port. No need to order it.
  17. That certainly is not a lot. One of the issues in all these disputes is that pay increases are always discussed in term of percentages. Give a post person a 5% rise, and they will be £1250 a year better off, gross, but only £1000 a year better off after tax. But someone earning £50k a year will be significantly better off with a 5% increase. Posties and other low paid occupations woukd be better asking for a lump sum increase, not a percentage.
  18. Even I draw the line at drinking that !
  19. At around £6 a glass, or €7, you would find a very good red wine ashore. We were paying less than €4 for Faustino VII in Lanzarote last week.
  20. Obviously no one has told Tesco and Sainsbury, who are offering 25% off if you buy 6 bottles or more ! The P&O supply chain team obviously work in some sort of parallel universe. Global shortage my backside !
  21. That is a stupid price ! I doubt that easyjet, even with seat selection, luggage costs etc would be much more than £150.
  22. You are allowed to refare once, if booking from the UK, at a price of £50 pp.
