Not sure much changed. The article states that they are still operating separately - "MSC Cruises UK & Ireland managing director Paradiso will assume in-market responsibility for Explora Journeys, which will continue to have dedicated teams for sales, marketing, contact centres and public relations." But they are still under the same corporate umbrella - so to speak, like Royal and Silversea.

We do not sail until November, but have been told the same. That reservations prior to boarding “won’t be necessary”. Guess we will see!

Which is frustrating since we booked our Explora cruise in November 2021, when bookings first opened - with nothing offered to MSC Diamond members! 🥺

Last I heard - there was not to be any status match with MSC - or other lines. We too are Diamond with MSC.

I’ve been told that dining reservations prior to boarding will not be offered. That they “will not be necessary”. 🙄

Sadly - MSC is famous for “buggy” IT issues. 🥺

That kind of info should become available after they have the first revenue sailing. That is mid-July…I think?

Yes - MSC had worked very hard to make sure this is a completely separate "new" cruise line.

Us too....really looking forward to it!! Nice that they have released the cabin and dining videos on various social media platforms.

I heard about it from my TA - and read a couple of articles that also stated the change. But have not heard about anything directly from Explora. Did you check their website for an official announcement?
