  1. I've been attempting to reach someone on the phone for several days and haven't been successful. I've sent an email as well, but I have yet to receive a response. I'm not sure what's going on at Explora, but this is getting out of hand.
  2. I'm sailing in four days and getting off on the 13th. (Well, it's now the 12t) and I just confirmed with my travel professional, who received the email yesterday but was on vacation and forwarded it to me. The Edition Hotel Times Square (NOT THE EDISON), $150 per person for incidentals, Transfer from the ship to the Edition. Attend the Naming because it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I will likely never get a chance to again. Get off the ship by 9:00am with my carry on luggage due to a coast guard inspection. Get back on the ship an hour or two later until the ship is cleared by coast guard.
  3. I'm not sure what's going on at Explora, but I think they are in serious trouble because of another change at the top. Although that doesn't appear to be the case currently, my travel planner was saying that the higher-ups would come from outside MSC Cruises.   4. I almost went with booking crystal and took my chance and booked on Explora I and so far that ship is stunning. While the crystal ships have been updated, there are some areas that show their age.
  5. When you mean no communication, you did not get an email that your cruise was cancelled or are you referring to the refund on the cruise and any air flights cost? I'm sorry you are going through this but my communication with my travel specialist has been great so far. I have rescheduled for August 1 and it was very fast.
  6. I would check with your travel agent again as mine told me the new cruise is on August 1. I also called Explora and they told me the same.

  10. My usual ambassador in Miami informed me that our OBC cannot be used to pre-book excursions. She added that this may take some time due to the numerous procedures involved. She emailed me a PDF listing all the shore excursions along with their prices, and she told me that if I didn't want to call her, I could email her, and she would book the excursions for me. I have never had a business relationship with a single individual at a cruise line ever; this is incredible. Also, that the team at the Explora call center in the Miami office provides the best customer service I have ever received from any cruise line. I made a remark to my ambassador about the team, and she explained that it is because her boss takes the time to hire the proper individuals for their position.

  12. Has anyone seen pictures of the ship's progress since the last video update? Seabourn and other luxury cruise lines do an exceptional job of communicating progress updates. I have no idea whether the ship will have a white or blue hull. There are almost 6 months until departure, yet few details are available.🤔

I got lucky because my travel agent called me first thing in the morning to tell me that someone from Explora Journeys had called them to let them know about the schedule changes and the compensation that was being offered. My travel agent has never once praised a company in all the years I've been using her services, they must be doing something right. I am trying to decide which cruise would be most enjoyable for me and my wife. I have to admit that I am quite impressed with all of their decisions so far. Everyone you talk to in the Miami office is knowledgeable friendly and helpful.
  14. I've never heard of a cruise line allowing a guest or travel agency from the U. S. to book a vacation in Euros.
