  1. Oasis doesn't tender and Cozumel isn't a tender port. So, yes, it is accurate.
  2. We have never had the time changed when on a western Caribbean itinerary (Cozumel, Jamaica, Costa Maya, etc) and we've been to Cozumel probably 8 or 9 times. Stay on ship's time and if there are any changes they will tell you. All aboard time is 30 min prior to departure time.
  3. Have you? I can say the one thing on Carnival that is better is the food such as Guy's burgers, the pizza and a few other items. While we love Royal, we aren't stupid. No main line cruise line is that much better than another. They all offer up different things.
  4. LOL. It's just a game for fun. Doesn't matter if the balls are "plastic". My guess is they are biodegradable. It's just a game.
  5. All you have to do is look at Allianz's website to know they offer annual policies. We recently bought an annual policy for this year. If you can't handle the website, they answer phone calls promptly and will help you get exactly what you want. That's about what we're paying for our policy for this year and we're in our early-mid 60's.
  6. Agreed. I guess I'm just too aware that I am not more important than anyone else and don't have the right to interfere with other's enjoyment of the surroundings. It always amazes me that these people have friends. Also, how can you go through life having to have blaring music all the time? We had people on the balcony next to us on Jewel on the first leg of our b2b who would have friends over and talk very loudly. Sound carries really well at sea. Another reality is, if you're sitting in your car having a phone conversation over bluetooth, everyone outside your car can hear your conversation. I've heard many in parking lots and even sitting at traffic lights.
  7. Wow, you really do miss the point. BTW, not just the US has these "rights" you do realize, I hope.
  8. You do realize the cruise lines have rules about noise, right?
  9. I expect we'll see changes soon. My DH said that his company policy has changed in the last few weeks. Basically, if you're sick stay home. No quarantine, testing etc. Just like any other illness and other companies are also doing this now. My DIL is an RN and basically that's their deal as in if they have a fever or nausea/vomiting, etc they stay home. Once they are better they can come back to work. 2023 Covid is not 2020's Covid. In fact, DH were discussing last week how we don't know anyone who has it or has had it in last couple of months.
  10. OP didn't actually say when it was cancelled. I don't know that they have a written policy surrounding charters.
  11. If you can, update it before they close check in. If not, you can just check in with your passport.
  12. We had great luck with them. We had to cancel two cruises (b2b) 3.5 years ago after I was injured. We had AON through RCI. They were very easy to work with. My Dr (orthopedic surgeon) provided a letter stating why I could not travel and we filed and were totally refunded in a few weeks. For this year, we bought an annual policy through Allianz mainly for medical and evacuation coverage as we're less concerned with an interrupted trip and it is cheaper than buying insurance through RCI for the 3 cruises we have booked. Also, search this site, there are several threads about insurance.
  13. Yes. Normally the reason is because either RCI no longer uses that particular provider or has deemed the excursion not good enough to keep or the excursion provider no longer offers it. We had one cancelled for some random reason only to have it reappear again later as available.
  14. They do not treat b2b's as one continuous cruise. They are two separate cruises. We had one leg of our b2b cancelled for April 2024 on Vision. We had booked a 12 night and an 8 night. They cancelled the 12 night for maintenance. The only way to make it a b2b was to book the other 8 night that was available on the other side of the 8 night we already had booked so we did and were able to get the same cabin, but we're now doing the same basic cruise twice, with I think one different port. It happens and BTW, being Diamond doesn't change any of their rules. We're D+ but never think they owe us anything more than anyone else. Also, they have had non-refundable deposits for several years. You want the cheaper cruise, you book non-refundable.
  15. We're on EN in April and they do a Pinn event in the VCL and rope off an area as the DL and CL are the level above. We're back on Jewel for a Quebec City b2b out of NJ in Oct/Nov so we'll see what they do then. I imagine there will be a lot of Pinns onboard for that itinerary since it's not offered very often.
  16. Baltimore enforced it for all our cruises last year. We're going out of Baltimore again in April so I'll look as we walk by to the suite entrance 🙂
  17. That's how Jewel normally does it. Overflow for D and above and another app buffet set up on the dance floor area that isn't private.
  18. By that logic you shouldn't wear any perfume as you're going to meet people everyday who don't like certain scents. Thinking about others works both ways.
  19. Mine still shows on my upcoming cruises on the website, but as I said we got an email notification. Others on Jewel on the 9 Oct cruise (one before our b2b) also got it. I expect we'll see more.
  20. Our one time in BH, we went to Acadia on Ollies Trolley and then came back and walked to a local restaurant and had blueberry pie for dessert (yum). I can't eat shellfish so no "lobstah" for us. Boston we've been to years ago with friends when we lived in RI for a few months and saw all the major sights and then we were there about 4 years ago on Anthem and did a tour and had lunch at Faneuil Hall. Nothing really for us to see there that we haven't already. I just love how quaint BH is.
  21. Just got notified that our b2b on Jewel starting Oct 20 will not be going to Bar Harbor on either leg, but we'll go to Boston instead. I thought the limits weren't going into effect until 2024.
