  1. ^^ For Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore, the aft-facing suite configurations are the same but the stateroom numbers are slightly different in some cases. Decks 11 and 14 are configuration B for all 4 of those ships. Breakaway and Getaway are different as those 2 ships have configuration A on decks 11 and 14. See thread below... PS NCL made changes to the alphanumeric codes for many stateroom types. The information is still correct, though. Also, NCL has started to charge more for the larger balcony aft-facing suites in most cases. On Escape, they are currently all the same price.
  2. If you are looking for an aft-facing suite with the larger bathroom that has a view of the ocean and balcony, you can book deck 11 or deck 14 (port or starboard, it doesn't matter). Those are known as configuration B. 10914 on Escape has the bedroom near the balcony.
  3. With a sailing so close, I wouldn't risk anything. Wait for the next cruise and book with your VC number to get your discount. https://www.msccruisesusa.com/manage-booking/msc-voyagers-club You get everything in the first 3 columns from left to right.
  4. Certain stateroom types have a main bed that can be split and some stateroom types have a bed that cannot be split. If you have a stateroom that has a bed that can be split and the bed isn't set up correctly, the room steward will set the bed in the way that you want.
  5. You must not have been around for MSC's "Buttergate" controversy. The topic of butter might be banned on the MSC forum. Weird? On MSC? Nah...😉 I'm going to let that slide since you're on vacation. 😁
  6. No. If they are 21 or older, they get the PBP promo. You can pay a la carte for drinks for the kids or buy a soda package for them.
  7. If you need a lounger in the shade, just drag (or have an attendant drag) a lounger into the shade. There are tables and chairs in the shade, too. The cabanas are either for rent or are first come, first serve (it seems to vary by ship). They were for rent the last time that I was on Seaside (cheaper on port days vs. sea days) but Seascape seems to have them for free but they can be chair-hogged.
  8. If there are too many Yacht Club guests waiting, one of the larger shuttles will get commandeered which will lead to an even longer wait for non-Yacht Club guests. I've seen it happen....and some people were not happy.
  9. It depends on stateroom type. Balcony and above get 2 meals each. Below balcony get 1 meal each.
  10. Yes but you can leave all of your things in your stateroom since you will still be staying there for the remainder of the cruise. Once everyone is officially off of the ship (card scanned), B2B people will be allowed back on relatively quickly. If you are among the last to leave, your wait will be shorter.
  11. It has happened but that was an unusual circumstance. Technically, nearly every cruise line reserves the right to move guests for a multitude of reasons. There are stipulations that the cruise line is compelled to follow but on at least one occasion, someone was moved down without adequate compensation.
  12. Balcony size can vary. Some are larger/deeper/wider than others even within the same category and location.
  13. Not on NCL, not since summer 2016.
  14. Keep your cash spread out in different places. If a wallet gets lost, there's still some cash in a bag. If a bag get's lost, there's still some cash in the suitcase, etc...
  15. Correct. Some info here.... ...I suggest contacting MSC with mobility concerns...( LINK )
  16. Yeah, they're pretty much all set. The only minor unexpected charge could be a tax while in port. Miami, for example, will see an 8% tax on drinks/food that would otherwise be covered if the ship was away from port. A dollar here or there but sometimes, the bartender won't ring it up until the ship is out of Miami jurisdiction and the guest will never see anything.
  17. That's also common. Don't worry about it. Just register the card when you get on the ship.
  18. That happens to me, too. It's never been a problem at the port.
  19. Whatever you buy on the ship gets 20% added. If you took the dining package promo, food covered by the package does not have 20% added to it since you already paid 20% on the package before your got onto the ship. If you took the beverage package promo, drinks covered by the package do not have 20% added to them since you already paid 20% on the package before you got onto the ship. Even if you took the dining package promo, food not covered by the package will have 20% added to it. Even if you took the beverage package promo, drinks not covered by the package and/or drinks that cost over $15 will have 20% added to whatever is not covered. If you order a $20 drink, the additional $5 plus 20% ($1) will result in a $6 charge to your account.
  20. Was it to prevent having to share with anyone? 🤮

  22. Your points have expired. You would have to start from zero.
  23. You can wait to take the photo. Even the people who successfully upload a photo sometimes end up having to take another one at the port.
  24. You didn't mention their ages but.... Onboard credit is issued per member and not per cabin, is applied to the final bill at the end of the cruise, and does not apply to MSC Voyagers Club members under 18 years old. - T&C
  25. OBC can sometimes take days or weeks to show up after you book. Sometimes, it shows on the 1st confirmation pdf. Sometimes, it just shows up under Cruise Details after you log into your MSC account. Sometimes, if they owe you $100 in OBC, you'll see $50 then a few weeks later, the other $50 will show up. It's random....
